this one gets it.
You might not want to run an AoE build with Masterful for Unholy every week in M+. Sometimes youâll want to run a more ST build on weeks such as Tyrannical, so in that case Expedient and Racing Pulse for ST.
Trash system fixing the first trash system.
Time to take out the trash.
Itâs pretty obvious. WoD, Legion and BfA are quite literally all shareholder expansions. Long, time played metric increasing grinds have been put into these expansions to appease shareholders to gain their investment.
Some examples from WoD include Pathfinder, but WoD has the least amount.
Some examples from Legion include Class Hall Mount, which took up to 8 months. Legiondairies being borked from the start, causing you to level again to have better chances. Coincidence? I think not. Also stuff like the terrible AP grind. Pathfinder taking over a year to unlock fully, meanwhile you have to traverse terribly designed landmasses to increase time played.
BfA⊠Where do I start. Rep grinds are atrocious, Essences are excruciating. Corruptions placed on a rotating vendor instead of putting all R2 and R3 on the vendor at once. Same issue with Pathfinder as Legion, except Itâs even worse - 1 word: Nazjatar.
Itâs a damn shame.
The announcement of the announcement with Ion on June 9thâŠ
Q2 ends June 30, so gotta make every effort to up those metrics and revenueâŠ
Q2 has nothing to encourage sales, the retention efforts are waning, Alpha coverage isnât driving pre-orders.
Suddenly, after years of resistance, blue eyes and skin tones for Void Elves?
My favorite part is that defenders will quote the self-written ActiBliz press release on Quarterly resultsâŠas if any investor would listen to that self-aggrandizing rose-colored copy for an accurate snapshot of the company.
Dig into the financial details.
MAUs are flat over the last year since Classicâs launch, not growing.
Revenues are down year over year, again.
But sure kids, the corruption vendor is just RNG.
Allied Races were anything they actually cared about instead of low investment repacking of old content (the leveling grind) as new content.
Thatâs sort of the point of the complaint. Blizzard turned their good news into needless drama and rage by only putting some of the things up on the vendor rather than just making them all available all the time.
They didnât even reveal the rotation so just guess if what you want is up next rotation or not and hope you have gathered enough echoes to get what you need.
This is so much stupid, false drama that Blizzard has created here. They took a great idea and then just dumped all over it.
Are you agreeing with me or saying that Iâm wrong?
@Sanariar You can put Mastery iii on 7 out 8 piece and still have below 50 corruption. If you canât deal with things from beyond as a mage, thatâs your problem.
@Aderyn Ignoring the fact that it was a terrible system to begin with and recognized as such before even being released, the problem is they took three months to address it. And when addressed it created a wider gap between classes due to some classes being able to stack bis corr and others not as oppose to just releasing all of the corruptions at once.
@Vaniira Exactly.
Nobody asked for the Corruption vendor to be on an undisclosed rotation of affixes.
Or you could be like my healing priest who started out with ZERO currency (because I had no opportunity to earn any) and now I have to wait to buy my BiS corruption until the full cycle comes around again since it was up for sale on the first week. You know, when I had nothing to buy it with because I apparently played the game to much or something.
Nope, Iâm not bitter at all.
It is amazingly stupid not to have all on vendor at one time. Corruption should have been on vendors from the beginning. So sick of RNG for something that should be available. Agree completely a solid idea and they dumped on it.
It was a solid replacement to an âunbalancedâ titanforged system. ![]()
As stated by Blizzard:
Itemization Philosophy
With itemization, weâre always looking for opportunities to create moments of excitement and choices and options to customize your gameplay to suit your playstyle and the content you choose to play. Warforging created some of this by allowing useful rewards to come from a wide range of content, and ensuring that there was almost always at least the chance of an upgrade from any repeat boss kill or other source of loot. However, as weâve seen and heard clearly in feedback over the past years, it has also brought significant downsides: Progression feels less rewarding, as players killing a raid boss on a new difficulty for the first time often disenchant much of the loot because they have equal or better Warforged items from lower difficulties or other sources. >>>>>> In addition, the feeling that a given item could have Warforged more and been even better can leave a sense of disappointment at what should have been a clear reward moment. And the sense that these systems are out of playersâ direct control makes it harder to work towards a clear goal or state of completion. <<<<<<
Expedient is BiS for nearly every dps and healer spec.
I just wish that all corruptions available at once, I really see no purpose for making people wait longer and longerâŠ
Itâs end of expansion, let people grind corruption to become as strong as they want.
I stocked up on 60 corruption worth of %crit when it was up last week.
Iâm the same when haste 12%, was out I got 4 pieces⊠would of liked to have gotten more but now need to wait who knows when to see it again.
Itâs a 4.5 week cycle. Not long until it shows up again
Unfortunately, DKs are best on Fort weeks and that means stacking Mastery. Nobody takes a DK for their Single Target damage.
DKs donât even care about stat corruptions, itâs all about them twidevs.
Unholy DK has insane ST burst with the opener.
I donât even know where this vendor is and how it all works. Thereâs so much that is confusing and obfuscated even to regular players. I have see zero in game information about this, nothing directing you to go anywhere, how would you even know this exits if you didnât already know?
I know theyâre making efforts to streamline and simplify a lot of stuff in the next expansion. I really hope itâs a genuine and continued focus, because itâs not just the new and returning players (that we see making daily threads about this issue) being confused, Iâve played through most of this expansion and I often have no idea.
