this should NOT something if a player chooses to leave within say a 10 second window or after killing the 1st boss. some groups are just so horrendous that I’d rather move on to something else. waste of time…

You can’t get Deserter for War Mode.
So stop queuing up. The deserter debuff is there to prevent people like you wasting others’ time. Working as intended.

that’s how it was until people started freaking out about people leaving ara kara after the first boss. so now we have this. it’s what the people asked for 
Vote kick the problem or accept you deserting early is also a problem and take your 30 like an adult.
Option C go do m+ on another alt a run takes the same time or less than deserter thus not time wasted on a levelling alt
