Also, people gaming the hell out of the system, finding a spot with quick-respawning, exp-giving mobs in the beta, not reporting it, then having a small army funnel thousands of kills to them when it launches.
That being said, I suspect that anyone who cares that much about this sort of thing probably also goes all-in on expansions anyway.
I see your point. But to be honest, the people who are racing to level cap to be server first, are going to the degenerate gameplay to get there. They will have practiced their route. Farmed consumables, gear ect.
Saying that the speed levelers who buy get a 3 day advantage over the speed levelers who didnt buy the epic expansion is factually true. But in practice, the lion’s share of players dont stand a chance to compete against them on a level playing field.
It's a minor miracle the entire Korean squad even managed to get into World of Warcraft after Dragonflight's launch, let alone hit the level cap in two hours and 25 minutes. Blizzard's servers have taken a beating since the new expansion launched late yesterday, with players worldwide unable to access the game.
can we establish the first 3 days are the most important in the wow ecomemy for a new expansion? maybe even establish that the first few weeks are the most important?
i believe it all boils down to the extra money required to get the 3 day. if this was baseline for the baseline edition… id be fine. but the epic, the highest tier is the one that gives this advantage isnt okay.
