This video really sums it up and have to applaud these really good players in actually having the guts to highlight how hard it seems to be for those who choose to foray into rated with basic gear early…

It’s almost like gear matters…
Knowing what you can do and what they can do is a huge edge just not going to pretend that ilevel isn’t a massive factor and I only do random casual stuff.
Yeah that’s the alt experience right now. AKA play another game and hope 9.1 isn’t royally screwed up by blizz.
I just capped my ilvl 153 mage with no triune last week so I felt this. I’m like ilvl 172 now though so it’s smooth sailing from here on out.
You can hit 1400 and still kinda be that undergeared trying to push too lol. Though to a lesser itm lvl gap, but still. Plus these guys are pro AF.
I guess so if you’re getting carried by fire spec or buying boosts
Gear doesn’t make a difference at all, how well you do in arenas is dependent on how good you are with your class. I was 170 ilvl and got 1800 in a few games, I just played with my friend who was 226 ilvl. If blizzcon winners are getting smashed at 1400 that just means they’re old and haven’t adapted to the new meta
We’re talking about the top 0.001% in terms of skill level and they’re having trouble.
Imagine how it is for normal players (like me)…

Oh wow that sounds fun! I did LFR all wings and got 1 item to drop. As for doing dungeons how does that work? You look at lfg and you get a nope your ilvl is to low sorry I want geared ppl for m0 lol. I think we might be playing a different game. But thanks for the tip!
