Only reason you got 2100 is because you Suckems’d Amatox and Laz.
damn took you three months to do what i did in a week on your three button spec. btw you should probably get more pets than just raptors.
I only play my hunter with pig pets so it reminds me what class I play ;3
You play a windwalker which is even more toxic than a BM. Why don’t you shut up and go take a spin on Suckems dik?
Damn toxic man. I’ve played this spec for 9 years. I’m just out here pointing out that hunters are special in my heart.
Unlike RMP players.
please stop harassing me or i will be forced to report u
I hit 1800 as unholy dk/ret in season 1 and season 2, and bfa season 3 + 4
You can hit 2400 playing rogue mage with your eyes closed with any exp
got to 1900 playing ret/spriest with an undergeared priest and got to 2k as demo/spriest and demo/ele sham.
No it’s not lol
@ OP
Ya ret dbl dps 2s is very viable
I’ve played with most things now in 2s. Ret/bm hunter is a rlly solid option to push, as is ret/ww or ret/mage if ur looking for specific dbl dps 2s from lfg
I would suggest ret/rogue but that’s more on ur rogue being proficient at world of Warcraft so
If you really like paladin, you have two very viable healing specs with holy and prot.
I’ve been 2200+ with ret / bm and feral / bm over the years. Getting 2200 with a rogue or hunter should be doable most seasons in 2s.
I’ve played vs a ton of double dps over 2400/2500 this season and last. Most of those double dps teams involve either a feral, a fire mage, or both. I don’t see a lot of rets over 2400 but honestly you can prob get 1800+ with nearly any 2s comp in the game.
Your rogue / mage can get to any rating they want in 2s or 3s. Rogue / mage has viable comps every season. Hpal as healer for rogue / mage is very easy to play from the hpal side. I’m an awful healer, but rogue / mage is usually pretty scripted and your job is usually fairly simple.
If your goal is to really push rating, I’d recommend learning holy or prot over ret with the group you mentioned. If you find a good priest for heals, you have tons of good options.
Your best comp in there is rogue/mage.
Follow up ret/mage.
2100+ is definitely achievable as double dps. I’m messing around with my friend on his destro lock and my ele sham - tonight was our second big push and we capped out around 2080 (dropped a bit due to feral teams, but c’est la vie).
Your rating push is likely heavily determined by what you’re playing against. Rogue/mage can take apart almost anything if well played, but ret gets countered really hard by some specs (feral, spriest, mage to name a few).
You’re going to earn the rating. It will take a lot of beating your head against the wall until you’re able to line up cds and cc well (essential as double dps), along with offhealing from your ret. You’ll also have to accept that some teams are just going to straight outcomp you - feral/healer is nigh impossible unless you can gib the healer (for example).
i played ret mage to like 2.2ish last season, maledicts def make it harder though. we basically played to live between hojs/drs.
you could try bm/ret and win off traps, seems pretty straightforward
I vsd a enhance boomy last season and they really just murdered.
Thank you all for the splendid discourse (and… the not-so-splended discourse) on the topic!
it sounds like I have a LOT of work ahead of me, so I can stop being out-played, and help my friends reach their T-mog (and PvP) dreams!
My personal favorites over the years would be ret/ret, ret/boomy, and ret/arcane to the 2k-2.2k.
Vanguards and Smexxin were top of the ladders SL S1 as ret/ele for the longest time. As mentioned before, pika_pala on ttv is another place you can watch live or vods of to check out EU side of things. Lately he’s been running ret/ele with lontar but he also runs ret/ww with porsea as well as ret/arms with trillebartom and porsea. Also just plays with random LFG dps out of boredom.
A lot of games are lost in the starting room as double dps. Sometimes it’s just grinding games out and getting some good qs. Learn when to go in or back away, stagger cooldowns to live. That’s what I did as sp/ele to 2100 in 2s.
1800 is very doable i play rogue mage and I’m 1900
