Tuning wouldn’t be bad if they actually fixed our talent tree and tier set; just feels bad to be doing good for like… less than 4 days?
I don’t get it, they give us buffs to be competitive, and then nerf us to kingdom come when we have the audacity to start hitting the top of the pack (as a pure DPS class, shouldn’t that be a thing?)

that mediocre Blizzard personal DONT PLAY THE GAME, just sit all day reading ppl crying in forums and apply nerfs after that is the way they work, NOW is the time for Retri paladin be the hero of the game and that is the BLIZZARD FOCUS, and everybody LEVELING a Paladin class just for 1 month (when 10.1 coming) that is the the reason Blizzard do this, I have 18 years playing this game and this how work, new zone was trash, finger was trash, but now keep ppl leveling a PALADIN Retri for FUN,
The changes make no sense. As a tank main, I run with so many other specs in m+ that consistently/overall do more damage than demo warlocks. I don’t think I’ve ran with a single affliction warlock all season. Any time I see a warlock, they’re destro.
I made a demo warlock as an alt this season, spent the last 2 weeks farming valor and gearing, and now I feel like my time has been wasted… I sympathize with people who main this class through thick and thin, the ones who invested way more than I into the class/spec. These devs need to give their head a shake and get a grip on reality.

Maybe in pvp warlock is strong, idk, I don’t pvp anymore. In pve, they’re far from the best. Boomkin should have been nerfed well before affliction or demo.

So, demonology, which was one of the weakest single target specs, now has reduced output for its top performing spell and one other core choices nerfed as well.
In what realm was this warranted? When I look at WoW logs a Warlock needs 4 PIs to still perform lower than frost DKs and druids.
They should have waited a week after the last buff patch was implemented and they fixed the buffs, because it was 100% for sure now some game changer increases to warrant nerfs like this.
Yep, we gave you a couple better talent choices on affliction, but now lets nerf your overall output by 2% because we couldn’t properly tune during our PTR, testing the new changes. Why give us a nerf in the first place? Why not just reduce the previously added talents. At least it would feel less crappy on our side.
Do they not ever look at reported logs? There is a whole website dedicated to show balancing, now without external buffs. You can legitimately see how well warlocks perform on a purely ST, single target with high AoE cleave, single target with additional target cleave, and purely AoE. This is a missed mark for sure. Warlock was never top in any of these categories except maybe ST and that was for specifically affliction which was still dumpstered by arms warrior and unholy death knight.

I am legitimately confused why they didn’t compensate with an increase to auto attack damage, especially for the dogs. Demo still trails a bit in ST, anyone else noticing how the Inquisitors Gaze proces far less for Demo?

Hell no, what they could have done is just remove the 10% damage bonus from dreadlash talent, since that’s what makes it AoE to begin with.
But even then demo isn’t overperforming in AoE, it’s good, sure but it isn’t some dominating force in aoe.

How about instead of nerfing an ability so that people never use it (why have the ability in the first place if you are going to make it worthless), making the pets worth having, so that it’s a playstyle choice?

Kind of but not really, since the flat 10% nerf will also effect next tier, where just nerfing dreadlash wouldn’t be nearly as bad, since there are a lot of flat ST encounters where we wouldn’t take dreadlash.
But yeah this tier it would mostly still be the same.

The thing is we aren’t a pet class. Warlocks don’t care about their demons, they just use them.

Yeah and pets ain’t been really utilized outside of some pvp for like a decade other then demo.
Aff and destro almost always used sac while it was tuned right, and before that the pets barely did anything outside of afflic dot interactions with Felhunters shadow bite.

Blizzard has waged war on sac with a vengence for longer than they have on flying. There is just something about sac that offends them and they always try and tune it into being not worth taking.
