You guys had a bug that was being fixed in terms of corruption and your pets just consistently doing too much damage that it should’ve though I think blizzard is trying to tune it down after fixing the bug since if it bugs out away you’re top DPS again.
I mean, I’m all for ranged tuning if its actually properly done and evenly distributed, but when obvious outliers like Psychic link go untouched (~25% of shadow priest damage in keys literally from a PASSIVE), and demo randomly gets nerfed when its not even good is just hilarious. This tuning pass is the most sus stuff I’ve ever seen.
Them nerfing sacrifice actually made me pretty pissed. The reasoning behind it is also braindead. Muh pet class despite it being a thing since vanilla.
In before they buff imp damage another 20% before reset to “rebalance” our st. Because of course Demo locks everywhere want 40% of our damage coming from those guys.
I’m not terribly upset about the nerfs, it’s more of the wording that they used. There are 10 different ways you could affect aoe without hitting single target damage in the spec. The dev that wrote this blurb is clueless.
what u m ean a lot of damage? it’s only Darkglare nerfed. Your dots still do a lot of damage on multi targets, Aff locks always top over all damage in BG
I don’t understand aff darkglare is like the worst cd imo it’s boring and does not do a lot of damage. As for demo if they wanted to nerf aoe why did they not nerf something like hand of Gul Dan aoe or implosion, why hit something that is also main solo target??? They need to fix things and buff them instead of nerf im still waiting on nether portal buff with the shards spent fix that everyone wants. Got to love blizz when it comes to listening to us. I know people will always be mad with a nerf but there are times when a nerf just does not make sense and this is one of those times.
They’re sort of in a tough spot here because implosion’s damage is based on the remaining fel firebolt damage and hog aoe damage is barely anything already. That said, they could easily have made compensating buffs to ST spells or done something like “dreadbite deals x% less damage to non-primary targets”
Darkglare hasn’t been worth casting for a while - or even when it was it was BARELY worthy of being a cooldown, compared to most other classes cooldowns.
The buffs to it made it actually feel like a cooldown - and it was in no way overpowered.
I can understand the aura nerf, but the darkglare nerf is just ridiculous. As is the sac nerf, and the DS nerf.
Nobody thought that Demo was doing too much aoe, especially when you look at how much AOE certain other melee specs are doing - AOE that is instant with no ramp and achievable on every pack.

Well gw2 classes work differently and anything can be a dot class so you could potentially play anything and enjoy it if you like dots.
Closest to affliction would probably be Scourge. Its really tanky and has minions like Warlocks too. I’ve been playing a lot of Specter which is essentially spriest with hyper mobility.
We noticed warlocks doing too much damage with a 5% flat damage and haste bug, so we fixed the bug and nerfed them for having the audacity to have been bugged.
