I came here to make this post cause apparently I wasn’t able to get help by submitting a ticket.
I got the quest “A lesson in alacrity” and with it, apparently when you get to level 70 and turn in the quest you’re supposed to get a 250% exp boost with it?
I turn in the quest after hitting level 70 and literally nothing happened. My exp boost didn’t go up at all.
Wondering if this is intended or if anyone else has had the same issue. Thanks.
Do you already have 250%+ from the other buff?
No, I went to turn in the quest at level 70 and it’s like the quest didn’t even complete. The only buff I have is the 60% that I’ve been gaining through leveling up and doing the dialies.
Be warned that if you already have more than 250% bonus XP for your account, turning in this quest will drop it down to 250% for that character.
I tested this on a couple identical remix characters yesterday and the one that turned it in at 70 ended up getting a lot less XP for every quest that both characters turned in after that.
The buff you’re looking for is completely separate from the remix time one. Check your buffs. It’s supposed to compensate for the xp jump for the 70-80 levels.
There may be a bug I don’t know about, but I haven’t had issues thus far. Good luck!
Just make sure you’re looking in the right spot. It doesn’t get added to the remix buff from your weapon. It’s a completely separate buff that’s displayed in your buff bar.
It’s also worth noting that you get the buff as soon as you hit 70, whether you’ve picked up the quest or not, or even if you haven’t handed it in yet.
What I’ve seen is it only applies to quests you turn in while inside the Infinite Bazaar when you recieved it, the moment you leave the bazaar it gets cleared. I have been testing this by gathering a bunch of quest completed, but not turned in.
Hold onto as many infinite researches at 60+ hit level 70, look at the exp of quests, grab the buff, check exp gains, turn in you infinite researches, check the other quests again, leave the bazaar and finally check again.
I now hold onto about a dozen completed quests from Valsharah and turn them in all at once after 70 to get over that gear hurdle when mobs scaling gets crazy.
