Thank you devs for nerfing dungeon xp, so I, a regular player, have 0 benefit or drive to do a dungeon more than once with my friend’s and guildy’s.
Thank you devs for letting sweats aoe grind, which is arguably worse than dungeon spamming their way to 60 and not doing anything about it.
Thank you devs, for punishing me for wanting to do proper social content more than once per dungeon.
Thank you,
Yours truly,
Tpube.

Por que no los dos? What? So AoE grind is sweat but Dungeon spam is …not? Sounds like you are saying hey I dont want to do dungeons alot because the XP sucks, I want more XP/TIME for the time I invest playing! I support you. You do realize, that is why some AoE grind, or use addons for optimal leveling paths, or use build guides etc etc?
Did I say dungeon spam in my post? Where did I ask to be able to spam it to 60. I don’t care if players aoe grind. I just want to do a dungeon more than once so I can play with friends.

It is common knowledge that dungeons are suboptimal so tanks will be skipping as much trash as possible and effectively most people only go for quests one time.
Dungeoning as a whole will slow to a crawl in this state, sooner than later.

Yes, you did. “Thank you devs for letting sweats aoe grind, which is arguably worse than dungeon spamming their way to 60 and not doing anything about it.”
You also said “Thank you devs for nerfing dungeon xp, so I, a regular player, have 0 benefit or drive to do a dungeon more than once with my friend’s and guildy’s.”
So you CAN do dungeons as many times as you want. but you said you have 0 drive to do a dungeon more than once. Now you are saying you want to do a dungeon more than once. You are contradicting yourself, and implying that you can only play with your friends by doing a dungeon more than once.
No you did not say that YOU wanted to dungeon spam your way to 60. You just pointed out that some people have, and then you said Blizzard should do something about it, which implies you think leveling to 60 in dungeons is wrong.
tldr your arguement sounds like : “I want a reason that justifies to me doing a dungeon multiple times so I can play with my friends. BUT if you want to do dungeons more than me and get more xp than me in that way, you are wrong” ffs man

Bro wtf are you trying to argue lol. Are you with me or against me?
I don’t give a rats bumhole if you aoe grind or dungeon grind to max level. I just want to not be punished for running a dungeon more than once.
I brought up aoe grinding because it’s hilarious the devs say they want to make people quest and then allow this. I personally do NOT care, I just added it to my post because of how ridiculous it is.

Oh, well sorry mate. I was trying to follow your meaning. Had trouble because your replies contradicted what you said in the previous post. I also do not give a rats bumhole how someone does it. What is the punishment for running a dungeon more than once? I am unaware, I have yet to make a Forever character. Got friend groups planned, set up 2 accounts, researched Forever addons, picked which I like, even planned out an 8 character leveling order (look up Altoholic in dictionary it says me hehe) to cover all the crafting specializations and professions. (Takes 8 minimum). THEN found out I can not engage cross faction or cross ruleset, and just to play with everyone I knew who was excited about WoW Forever, I would need FOUR accounts. So I have spent today reading about what is going on in WoW Forever. I have yet to hear about punishment for doing a dungeon more than once?
If you mean Devs have reduced drop rates for good items in a dungeon the more often you run it in a given period, I would agree that absolutely sucks. F I might just try and refund the 2 accounts I set up and be done with it
Basically they changed how you get your XP in a dungeon. The majority of the XP is in the quests themselves, while killing mobs gets you significantly less experience. So if you don’t have quests, you are getting very little experience while doing a dungeon, hense it’s only worth it to do them once for the quest and then don’t touch them again.
Personally I don’t like this change. Hell when I first leveled this chick all the way back in TBC I stopped questing at 36 and leveled the rest of the way to max level almost exclusively via dungeons over the course of months. So yeah I am a bit partial to dungeons over questing.
I don’t think punishing people who are doing dungeons at the appropriate level makes sense. I could see it if you wanted to reduce experience when there is a high level, so people are not just selling power leveling nonsense, but a legit 5 person level appropriate group running a dungeon multiple times being punished just doesn’t make any sense, and I really don’t understand the logic.

ok gotcha. so Punishment == repeat dungeon runs is not as much xp per hr as other methods. Fair assessment. I want to level method A, jim wants to level method B, sally wants to level method C, and then sweats use method D. Why are you punishing style A. Good question
Hard to argue. Did RFC, full run with all quests was one level. Except mobs were worth about two bars total (not a totally full clear). Then you need to travel to both TB and UC to to handins.
Time and reward-wise it’s a total waste of time. The terminally online may want to grind early dungeons for sets, but realistically the dungeon was slower and more boring than the classic version, with less realistic reward overall and there’s simply no reason to ever do them more than once. Even once is an absolute stretch. Exp from mobs felt like… 20% of classic maybe less… since the level of RFC is lifted.
Had someone we play with complete one and miss a boss in the dungeon, realised they lost 1/5 their exp and was no reason to go back. Was no logic applied to this change at all?
Stopping carries or boosters is one thing. This is just erasing the fun and freedom from dungeons for most players, and realistically dungeons are group activities, so most community was probably being built meeting people in them and doing them more than once to start with. Absolutely clueless game development.
I mean the devs haven’t been able to do basic balancing tweaks for years, so this is nothing new, but it’s certainly a new low. And worrying about people out in the world is an equal joke, when half the time it’s instant respawns, or two people still can barely do the same quest in an area because it’s designed like a single-player game… Or you see other people, but not the same mobs? Honestly jokeworthy.
Literally press W and go to the other dungeons. You can go HoT → RoL → Deadmines → WC → SFK → BRD → Stockades… on and on and on, with very little questing involved.
You guys crying about this just don’t want to go explore and get quests and play. You want to park your buns in one dungeon and spam it.
Just play the game dude. Or don’t. There’s a handful of game modes where you can dungeon spam to level.

I, happen to love healing dungeons.
It’s what I love doing, it’s how I want to enjoy my $15 a month, and it hurts nobody, except for Blizzard apparently.
In Classic Era, by lvl 60, I had healed over a couple hundred dungeons, had 99% of my pre raid BiS gear and was ready to immediately move in to MC.
I met so many new people, some of which ended up on my friends list and I encountered many different play styles and I had to make adjustments to how I played to accommodate that.
Now, I am not open world questing as a healer. I don’t enjoy it at all.
I’ll level a lock or mage until I get bored and eventually quit playing.
My play style hurt nobody, and if anything it helped when healers were in short supply, so I really don’t care what critiques any of you might have, it wasn’t your time and it wasn’t your money.
This really sucks. This is better than what I imagined classic+ would be like and I can’t truly enjoy it the way I want to.

Again, I’m not arguing to spam dungeons. I just want to be able to do it a few times without it feeling like a complete waste of time. The devs could have easily gone for a middle ground, but they didn’t.
Also, please stop making comments like this if you have nothing productive to add to the conversation.
I wanted to play heals, didn’t because of what you described. Went mage, burned out at playing this single player game at level 21. I tried a Deadmines run with no quests and the EXP was awful, logged out.
This absolutely is game breaking for some of us, no version of WoW has ever worked this way, and for good reason.

Blizz may have been hamfisted, but lets not blame anyone other than a community of min/max rmters toxic as crap, which over time took over every social facet of the game.
How is this not productive?
I’m pointing out that you can always hit a dungeon, at whatever level you are. Just because some choose to dismiss the obvious reality that I’m pointing out doesn’t mean it has no meaning.
I’m so tired of hearing this complaint. Bliz told us exactly why they made the change. It’s clear as daylight. There are so many different game modes to play if it’s so intolerable.
Also, you can always do a dungeon with your friends for a chance at the best loot if it’s just so fun for you. If it’s the funnest best thing in the world. You just don’t get good exp.

Seriously, I can’t wait to spend hours in the long late game dungeons getting zero EXP in levels before 60. That thought alone makes me not want to keep going lol
What are you even talking about? Did you proof read your own comment for logic and intelligent thought or just get AI to generate that for you?
I genuinely prefer questing, I would normally skip dungeons unless people I know want to do them. This change is horrifically bad, even from my perspective. Dungeons used to be decent, and with a good group, maybe you’d repeat one a few times to chill and grab more loot for everyone. That will not be happening anymore.
Super weird to tell people to ‘just play the game’ which is what’s behind the criticism of this change. People would like to. Except some low iq changes are making it hard to naturally play.
