I understand vastly the necessity for server balnce, however the whole intention of the social aspect in the game is being hurt via so many people not being able to play with their friends.
We had a group of about 20 people, various co workers, friends, etc that all were planning to play together, half of them having not played in years. We spent the past month planning accordingly to play together despite varying schedules, some of us weren’t able to get name reservations and therefore despite our plans to play Horde on a pvp realm together since we all found out about WoW forever, we are all severely fractured and unable to play together AT ALL.
Most of our free time has been comprised of TRYING to get into an RPPVP realm OR a PvP realm, with only a select few out of the roughly 20 of us wanting to get in. We already have set race, class, and compisitions for each other laid out. And now none of us are seemingly going to be able to play/raid together as a small guild as we intended.
THERE HAS TO BE A BETTER OPTION, one of the massive things about WoW forever was the socialization and playing together, and we simply can’t.
cant play what I want so I have to choose to play a downgrade version of the game (PvE) or playing something we didnt want and with the toddlers that play on it? (alliance)
yes, I’d rather not play at all rather than share faction with all of you inbreed weirdos.
You must not understand the necessity for it if your only concern is just the people who have to wait in line.
The alternative to not having this is for there to not be a PvP server anymore. We have seen this play out every single time we don’t force the faction lock.
Horde gets overpopulated. It gets out of control. The horde farm the alliance to the point to where the alliance can’t play. The alliance now reroll on pve or a different server and need help from blizzard to be bailed out so they don’t lose their characters, and it turns into 100:0 horde.
This isn’t a guess or a speculation, it happens every single time. You do not need to play horde on a PvP server. You can go pve. You can go alliance. That’s your alternative.
I’ll never understand why the WoW forums still have old school trolls that agitate for literally no reason. It’s wild how apparently every social group with people who haven’t played for years must be Horde on a PVP server in specific, or they won’t play.
Play Alliance or play on a PVE server. Granted, I hope you don’t choose either option, because the type of person who so desperately wants to be Horde on a PVP server is likely a waste of human life and deserves as much self-inflicted psychic distress as the universe can muster.
If they haven’t played in years, im sure they’d be fine on either faction if they didn’t have someone in the ear making a fuss about how they must play horde. Congrats; you’re ruining the experience for people who haven’t played in ages by making this a big deal when it isn’t.
Could just go play the game together and go “alliance or horde, playing with you guys is what matters!” But no, no no no. The game is ruined! Can’t play! Waaaaah no horde.
Unfortunately I have a lot of friends waiting to get on horde too, if you cave and go alliance expect to to get wreaked when I see you in the world
The balancing is a must though or it ruins PvP for everyone, maybe they can give people an incentive to go alliance? Like a free mount or 10g or something
