just ran an rol and the hunter pet had 500hp plus my imp sits at 150 and my vw pet at 300 the hunter pet that does considerably more dips had 500plus hp. what the hell are we doing blizzard.

let me clarify my point. I was same level as a hunter in an rol. I had my imp out. he had around 150-170 hp. the hunters pet had 500-550 hp. at the same level my void walker pet was siting at 300-330 hp. hunter pets deal way more dmg than either of imp or void walker pet and they have an vastly larger health pool. nerfing warlock pets because of a level 30 streamer duel tournament where insane amount of gold and consumes were used should not be what the game is balanced on. warlock just plain feels bad right now to play and playing demo is straight up unplayable. middle ground you went from 7 to 2 how about 4-5

Passed a lock in Org, hes only lvl17.
The lock is talking about a lvl 10 void walker I am assuming not a lvl 17. As oh right months void walker is nerft to being trash
Did you also check the armor on the pet? Because it’s dogwater. It dies while you’re healing it to a mob its own level. Health isn’t even really the issue. If the health nerf is meant to counter the power of soul link, that’s fine, because armor doesn’t stop soul link damage. But a same level mob rips it apart the armor is so trash and dies while you’re health funneling it.

If they intend to nerf soul link just reduce demon hp x % when linked
That’s weird I just saw a level 19 lock today who had 650 or so for his voidwalker health. I just made note of it because I keep hearing people say they are glitched. The VW had about 50 more health than the lock.
Also dont know if they get void health, most will go affl.
Hunters get pet health usually since most lvl as BM.
Last I leveled a lock was hardcore where I obv went demo. Is that not the play in forever? I figured with the searing pain change and all pet buffs that demo would be the play.
The warlocks i’ve seen close to level 10 have 300 hp voids.
Yours is not 150 hp
Oh I have no idea.
I just know the first points most locks do go into instant corruption.
Where as hunters first 5 literally go to pet health and armor.

If the 500 health Hunter pet gets hit for 50 damage, and the 300 health Voidwalker takes the same attack for 15 damage, which pet has more effective health?

You’ve got it backwards. Hunter pets have loads more armor than voidwalkers.

Warlock borderline unplayable with this pet hp situation fr
My own beta experience says otherwise, but I’ll freely admit that was the first half of beta so if voidwalkers got dumpstered I wouldn’t know
In beta, I was chaining double-pulls in the same zones at level 10, without needing to heal VW more frequently than a bandage every few minutes.
On launch you need to heal your pet after one mob your level, and you’re better off resummoning after 2 mobs.
They got their bonus health adjusted and now people are losing it because they thought the nerf was to their overall max health.
TLDR: vanilla they had flat health
Forever: they had vanillas flat health, on top of bonus health from the warlocks stam
They nerfed the bonus health because the VW had like dungeon tank levels of health and now they are upset.
Unless there’s a glitch going around (which I’ve seen locks VWs have good health), then it’s just bad players being bad
Get Improved Health Funnel, Improved Voidwalker, Fel Vitality and ESPECIALLY Demonic Energies in the Demonology Tree.
Warlock pets gain much more benefits from talents than Hunter ones and heal much more to make up for their lower health. The Demonic Energies talent will keep your pet alive almost single handedly.
This is how they are designed in contrast to hunter pets which are stronger early. By level 30 a Warlock pet in WoW: Forever will be significantly stronger than a Hunter one for general leveling/tanking for you at the same level if you are using the Demonology tree.
The talents there are insanely strong for leveling, check them for yourself.
I am not a great player by any means, but my VW at 12 died to a level 10 croc we were both fighting. If it can’t tank 1 mob 2 levels below itself something has to be off.
