Why am I on a Brazilian server?

As I understand it, in Forever when you select PvE, PvP, etc. it will automatically detect your region and assign you to a server. The thing is I’m an American and everyone on my server is speaking Portuguese. What’s the deal? Are there just a massive number of Brazilians on the Americas & Oceania region?

Yeaaaaa. I’m on a Central server when I’m on the Westcoast, not as bad as your situation. But why are we not being put on the closest servers possible? Good Luck

Maybe it’s the Universe telling you need a waxjob.

If you are in the incorrect region you can set it to the correct one via options. Logon → select options → search at the top for ‘pref’ (preferred region) → select the region you want to logon to. Then logoff - when you log back on you should be in the region you want.

I’m not seeing a preferred region in options, even when filtering by the search bar. After some googling there is apparently a Preferred Account Location (PAL) in Options > Languages and Social. However when I go there I only see options under Languages for changing Text and Audio languages. Nothing else

Just checked mine - its definitely there - only comes up when I put ‘pref’ in the search bar at the top. If its not there for you Id go to customer support forum with your issues. You can also look at your account settings on battle.net to make sure your account is set to the right region.

Figured it out. You have to actually enter the game on a character to change Account location. Seems weird you can’t do it from the character selection screen or the login screen. Thanks for your help!
