I purchased the Skyborne Epic Pack for $59.99 specifically to enjoy Early Access and play with my friends on a PvP server.
My friends are already playing, leveling, and enjoying the game together. Meanwhile, I’m stuck at character creation with this message:
“This faction is currently unavailable on this ruleset due to population imbalance.”
My only practical alternative is to roll on a Normal (PvE) server, away from my friends.
So let me get this straight.
I paid for Early Access, but I can’t access the server my friends are playing on. I can’t create the character I want, and I’m expected to either play a completely different experience or sit around hoping Blizzard eventually allows me in.
I understand faction balance matters. I really do. But shouldn’t there be a better solution than locking paying customers out of playing with their friends?
Here’s what I’d genuinely like to ask the community:
-
Is it reasonable to sell Early Access when players may be unable to join their friends on PvP servers?
-
Shouldn’t established groups of friends have a way to play together without faction restrictions separating them?
-
If someone pays for Early Access but cannot access their intended experience, shouldn’t a refund be a reasonable option?
-
And perhaps most importantly, are we becoming too comfortable accepting restrictions on products we’ve already paid for?
I’m not asking Blizzard to destroy faction balance. I’m asking whether the current solution is fair to the players affected.
I’m genuinely curious: How many others are experiencing the same problem? Have you found a workaround, or are you stuck waiting too?
And for those who support these restrictions, I’d like to hear your perspective too. Is there a better way Blizzard could handle this without sacrificing faction balance?
Let’s have a constructive discussion. I think paying customers deserve better solutions than simply being told to wait or play somewhere else.
