Voidwalker has less hp than the warlock when you get it, it can barely tank a single mob. Both imp and void feel terrible to use atm, and with the HP as it currently is I’m not optimistic succubus will be any better…
Demonology was a really fun leveling spec in the beta, but it seems unplayable for leveling with the pets current state. I understand the scaling was probably too high, but at least some base HP buffs to compensate or something please.
There is simply no way anyone tested leveling with the HP values that went live, it feels terrible and is super unfun

I knew it was going to be bad the moment I read the update. Didn’t even log on to my lock. VW was barely good enough when they did the stealth nerf to HP before beta ended. No way reducing it further was going to end well. At this point they should just make VW the warlock’s health +xx%. Whatever that may be. It would set it up to be tankier than the warlock, but keep them from scaling out of control.

It’s absolutely horrible. No way anyone actually tested this. Warlock can barely level while other classes running around with their shiny new toys.
I know no devs main warlock, but you guys really need to think about changes, not kneejerk reactions to a level 30 duel tournament. Now normal warlock players can hardly level.
This needs to be hotfixed ASAP. The games unplayable.

Yeah, people threw a major fit over pet health in that tournament, but that’s not even close to regular gameplay. Nobody is spending like 1000 gold on just consumes, stacking stam even at the cost of damage, and basically pulling out every trick in the book at level 30. Well, the complainers got the mega demon nerf and now warlock sucks.

This really does need to be addressed. It’s a real issue for leveling. I could not believe how bad it felt tonight.

For leveling it might be workable. But in PvP warlocks are now paraplegics. I cant imagine any BG scenario working out for a warlock with 1 shot pet. Just fire the class balancing staff at blizzard already. They have 0 credibility. Replace with AI

Sorry, no changes will happen unless you can somehow convince the streamers to complain about it. Blizzard only take directions from streamers now, nobody else.

We are actually shoe horned in to demonology, it’s the only way to not have paper thin pets. 5/5 improved corruption straight into demo. I’ve never feared mobs off void before today in my life.

Its hard to understand the thought process behind intentionally easing two major pain points (squishy pets and soul shards) in the beta, then reverting those changes 2 days before release.

They should buff void walker— as that is the tank pet but that’s it.

Warlock pets might be bugged. There’s nothing in the recent patch notes about nerfs or changes to them. And the class was not having this issue in the beta
The armor is also absolutely atrocious. Even if you doubled the void’s health, you’ll still be casting health funnel all day. 36% mitigation is mail armor without a shield. On our TANK pet.

Yea in my 20 years playing the game I’ve never seen some of the stuff I’m seeing now so… IG props to blizzard for totally turning the game on its head

The notes state they reduced pet health scaling from 7.5 per master’s stam to 2.

Completely agree. Got to lvl 12 and my voidwalker is already going down after 2 mobs. I knew it would be bad but if my tank pet is this bad this early when he’s usually a major power boost at 10 I don’t want to see what he’s like at even 20!
Having a great time so far and knew what I was getting myself into after the nerfs, but it really does feel bad. I feel like a slug walking around resummoning my pet every 10 minutes while everyone else just zooms past me.
