The Great Outdoors Quest | Not awarding 0/1 Sit near the campfire

I’m at the Great Outdoors Quest and I sat by the camp fire and received the buff. However, I did not complete “SIT NEAR THE CAMP FIRE.”

I’ve sat for 5 minutes and I still did not complete this.

You have to actually type /sit to sit for it to work. If you use the hotkey bound to sit it will not work.

I reported this during beta but apparently they haven’t got to it yet.

EDIT: Make sure you wait the full duration of the fire buff.

I did. but didn’t get the sitting task marked completed.

I also used /sit in Shen’dar Village. Didn’t work

It didn’t work for my wife or me either, but I impatiently kept abandoning and getting the quest fresh and spamming sit and at some point it worked? My wife still can’t get credit so I’m not sure what the trick was.

Make sure you dont have npc targeted when you /sit

Targeting the NPC isn’t helping me.

Relogging/abandoning and repicking up the quest didn’t seem to work for me, but it did finally trigger when typing /sit to sit and /sit again while you’re already sitting.

Hit X to sit, then type /sit worked for me.

Apparently typing /sit and then immediately typing /sit again worked for me and a few other people. Not sure why but maybe it’ll help someone else. Happy sitting!

This was my issue, as soon as I clicked off them and /sat I got the achievement
