If it takes 150 hours to hit level 60, it means we’ll all have to play 4 hours a day every day from now till dec 9 just to be 60 in time for the first raid.
Release them instead after Xmas. Like January 4.
This will take a lot of pressure off us in the race to 60 and will allow us to enjoy the journey. To explore more, to pvp, to level alts, and to raise tradeskills.

150 is fast for most people. Lots of peoole will take 200+ hours easily.

I pray you get treatment soon for your FOMO mental illness.

Theyre not pushing back anything. Run the raid when you’re ready to run the raid. It’s not going anywhere.
also dont assume you cant enjoy the journey while leveling efficiently and devoting time to the game. People enjoy different things.

No one is required to raid on December 9th.

I pray you get help with your addiction. I know it took you 450 hours last time to reach max level. Hopefully you see the sun before Dec 9th.
tell that to the guilds who are forcing that expectation on longstanding members. It’s called Wow Forever yet the fact you NEED raids within a month? The game is going to die if that’s the case. 7 raids are slated within 6 months of release. That’s absolutely insane and going to burn out 75% of the millions who want to enjoy the game. It’s antithetical to the philosophy of Forever.

I don’t care one way or another when they release them as I probably won’t be ready for them a month from now. I probably will change my character and start over repeatedly, knowing myself.
But I don’t think there’s a need for them to be delayed either, as there’s no need to be there day 1.

Who cares when the raids are released? The whole point is you aren’t supposed to be keeping up with everyone anyway.

Tyrannical guilds are not my problem. If your guild leadership is forcing you to level fast, get a new guild. “It’s antithetical to the philosophy of forever”. Its hysterical to me how many people have clung to this “philosophy of forever” as if it were scripture. It’s “the journey”. Well, define “journey”, because we all have different ideas of what that is. To me, the journey starts at 60. That’s how I view the game. leveling is just something I have to do to get to the part of the game I enjoy. You may view it differently, and that’s cool. If you think the journey should be slower paced, then you really shouldn’t be worried about raiding on day 1 anyway. The thing about releasing the raids on 12/9 is that it satisfies everyone. If you are the type that wants to level fast and raid, the game will accommodate you. If you’re the “take it slow and smell the roses” type, the game accommodates you as well, because the raids aren’t deleted once they are cleared. They will still be there for you when you get there on your own schedule. The issue here seems to be FOMO and toxic guilds, and those are not developer issues.

Mental illness is a serious issue. Try not be in denial as well.
Take a deep breath and repeat after me.
“I will not be first. I will not be best. I will have fun. This is a video game.”
You’re missing absolutely nothing if you take your time, other people will be doing that, too. The top content exists for people who get there, when they get there. There is an *ENTIRE GAME* to enjoy in the meantime. There is no reward for killing the pixels faster except the ability to kill other pixels faster. This game is not a metric of success, it’s a place to go after your real world responsibilities are handled, meet new friends, and screw around.
If you feel the need to rush for it, you’re just going to get caught by another need to rush for something else in the absence of “new” content. You don’t need a resume to play WoW, and anybody who tells you that you do is taking this way too seriously.

What if you just missed the first few resets?

How, exactly, do the raids stop you from enjoying your journey?

It’s going to be a 200 hour slog for most people, unless you are using restedxp or are being carried. It’s like only elitists and streamers will be doing any raiding.
No says u have to raid week 1.
no end game no game peroid. i shouldnt have to wait because you take you sweet time. play how you want. a guild requiring members to raid dec 9 might not be the right place for you but i would say u are in it already so maybe calm down and do what u always do and get to the grind

You could just not raid Dec 9. I mean… Blizzard isn’t going to show up at your house asking why you aren’t raiding….
