I bet I could do better in PvP with a gamepad.

I just don’t have the dexterity to do what they do on keyboard and mouse.

Can’t wait to try the updates. Played beta on my recliner/controller setup and really enjoyed it.

Gonna play WoW on my GBA

When will Retail be getting this same ability to play the game via a Gamepad (aka controller)?

without the need for a third party Addon

Cool option.
What controller are they talking about?

It’s XBox by default, but they suggest that you might be able to map other controllers. I haven’t tested it so can’t say for certain.

controller is a little clunky imo

can you talk about forever in the forever forums blizzard? or better yet, actually pay attention to actual wow?

Once you have all your keybinds and macros set up, it should be a relaxing experience.

I have the Xbox Elite Series 2 controller, I assume that I’d be able to make use of all the extra buttons and paddle sticks.

Melee classes feel great with a controller. It’s like playing an ARPG.

Great job on the controller support! I think it will make playing “casually” (definitely ) much easier.

However, please let us configure the keybinds for the actions that are currently fixed! (jump, interact, cancel, inspect, targeting)

Just like on keyboard being able to configure these is a must! Imagine not being able to use the 1, 2, 3, 4 keys for spells because these are exclusive to interacting with the UI.

Maybe when interacting with the panes I can see it being very strict, but in combat those are the most accessible buttons.

Please allow extra sidebars. I understand it’s all preparation for potential console release. But currently we all have keyboard and mouse. I like to put consumables, mounts etc on my side bar and hotkey or mouse click.
It’s a great start. I was able to glitch sidebars to stay present during the 1st half of the beta, but it was “fixed”, i was quite disappointed. I do want to give your team props on fixing the delay between gampad and mouse cursor.

Please add the option for extra bars.

My 1st post as a returning player, i feel this is important enough to warranta post. The gampad support was a huge draw for me. Almost Nobody like to shift through pages of skills as it currently is.

I cant use the ingame gamepad support, its SO BAD compared to Consoleport which i’ve used since DF. AOTC+ raider and mythic plus player, i have been strictly controller user since TWW start. Oddly enough, helps my hands.
Ive keybouind all my ui stuff to start/select and modifiers with those buttons.
All my rotational spells predominatly take up the buttons i’m not allowed to change the keybinds of in forever.

Till you allow us to modify the face keybinds along with others, unfortunately gamepad is dead in the water for me, console port addon is the way. ;/

Having to hit modifiers to get to most of my spells is just extra use and cause of pain.

Super excited for this. Never played WoW with a controller until beta and it was awesome.

Marking targets was a little janky in beta, not impossible though. I ended up just making macros for skull, x, and moon and mapped them to individual buttons.

Im genuinely impressed by people who can play this game on a gamepad. Tried it and it doesnt work for me, seems a lot harder and my pref is keyboard.

Will this allow you to use a keyboard (for typing messages) while the Gamepad is active? or are we going to be clicking left and right on an on-screen keyboard? What about the Mouse?

Is dungeon/raid healing possible/recomended with a controller? Long play times in un-optimal couch posture gets to my wrist sometimes.
