I COULDN’T AGREE MORE!!! I’m so glad the devs really honed in on what makes a Classic Elemental Shaman feel like an Elemental Shaman, especially when it comes to expanding on its classic identity. Seriously, thank you! I was honestly getting pretty discouraged thinking we’d just end up playing a Wrath of the Lich King Shaman at level 60. This is EXACTLY the direction I was hoping for. HUGE W!
Chain Lightning is back on the menu. You use it again single target.
This was huge and for enhance a 6sec stormstrike is crazy.
Blizzard actually managed to make Elemental worse if you read the post. Guess we’re all going enhance.

W for ele shaman, would have liked for them to replaced lava burst with fulmination or something similar, but the class identity is definitely fixed.
Only if you can react to clearcasting in time. It will be too expensive to cast otherwise, and really the base dmg is only slightly higher.
Primary target base damage increased to approximately 145% of comparable rank Lightning Bolt base damage. Mana cost increased to approximately 225% of comparable rank Lightning Bolt Mana cost.
And that is still only 2 spells… 1 you use every 25 seconds or so… If you are lucky.
LB hits for 200 dmg atm. Increased 80%.
LB hits for 360 base dmg.
CL hits for 45% more.
CL hits for 522 dmg.
With spell power, 162 dmg really isn’t going to be much.
I don’t think so. Right now there really isn’t a good reason to do anything other than spam slow moving lightning bolts and keep up flame shock. That’s the ST rotation you wanted?
I can’t even begin to tell you how dog water this is in PvP. When we get kicked, we have no other spells to cast anymore due to school lock. Increasing the damage would have been better than removing LvB all together. Especially when we get this limp noodle CL that isn’t worth using. We are Lightning Bolt spammers. Amazing.
Gonna be real, no matter what they changed, people always going to be mad at something.
The fine tuning will come, the basics are right, I will be elemental forever

We just went through learning our lesson about not acting like we know what end game forever is going to look like based on many factors and you come in here and do it again. Tsk tsk tsk you would think you would learn

It’s all about preserving the class identity! The numbers can always be tuned down the road, but getting the feel of the class right is what really matters. THIS is how a Shaman should feel! Woot!
