If they don’t do raid wide your optimal 10 man is 2 shamans, 2 druids, 1 prot warrior. 2-3 paladins. That leaves 2 dps spots open for more buffs. So probably a hunter and a rogue or a warlock and a mage.
That’s your ideal 10 man comp every time and it will do 40% more damage then not stacking that without raid wide buffs. This had to happen or 10 mans would have been horrible.
If warriors actually do 5% less single target then rogues, you will only be incentivized to bring 1 prot warrior to any 10,20, or 40 man raid.
10 and 20 man raids are the focus. They needed these changes.
Right now you can basically cover all buffs with a max of 2 of each class in a raid. This fits the 20 man really well and doesn’t reward class stacking. It helps keep gear distribution even as well.
This was the best choice to keep buffs unique to classes and work with the primary raid size focuses.
Fury is already back at the top DPS spot today after the recent nerfs to hunter and paladin.
You can’t make this stuff up. It’s like they legit just want to do a repeat of the warrior stacking from classic. If it launches in this state, it’s going to be pathetically underwhelming.
Those sims are wildly inaccurate. They make far too many assumptions. Blizzard was also clear that if class stacking happens they will destroy it.
Warriors also no longer create feedback loops like they did. Now if all fights are under 2 minutes we will have a problem with warriors and rogues again because fury and combat have extremely strong cooldowns and if fights are fast that skews the data.
Most sims are still treating warriors like they have infinite rage for executes like in classic when with rage normalization that just isn’t true.
Dude, you don’t even know what the class balance is gonna look like or who’s gonna top the DPS meters. Druids were never stacked to begin with back when their buffs were party-wide. No one was bringing a druid for every single group. On Horde, though, every group always had a shaman, specifically because everyone was playing warrior and needed Windfury.
People have posted sims from various sources. They are sims which have been accurate before, and so there’s little reason to assume that they don’t represent a somewhat reliable indication of where things stand.
The amount of people who just look at sim output when they’re set to literal perfect buff spreads, infinate gold for consumables, and perfect/godtier rotation execution and think that’s represenative of their own ability is really fun.
All of the sims I’ve seen have come from freshly made sites that were clearly vibe coded. This doesn’t inherently mean the output is wrong, but it’s not going to make me trust them over something like SimC and Raidbots where I know where the data is coming from.
