Please make the SD models actual SD models from vanilla. Not just the SD skin over retail models skeleton.
Step 1: wait in queue for hours and get constantly disconnected
Step 2: character not found
Step 3: finally kill a young wolf after two hours of waiting for a tag after the initial hours of constant disconnecting/waiting in queue
If I could delete 1 type of poster from the forums, it wouldn’t be the rage baiters. It wouldn’t be the buff my classers. It wouldn’t be pro/anti streamers.
It would be the SD modelers. The side by side pictures posted are almost imperceptible even when zooming in. In game, you would never ever know.
Nah they are miles different to true SD. Standing animations, weapons sheath point directly backwards as opposed to lower on hip and slant downward more in classic. No reason why SD enjoyers can’t have true SD models if retail and people who enjoy HD get true HD.
It wouldn’t affect you in the slightest bit if you don’t use SD and they gave true SD models to us who do now, would it?.
It’s not a matter of it effecting me. It’s not even a matter of developmental trade off time.
Its an issue with the much the crying is vs the insanely small differences. Its like some weird purity test or something. Yes, its the retail client. No, I am not a retail Andy. Yes, it’s overall going to be so much better of an experience because its the retail client. The SD models are approximations because they have to be. Its ok.

you’re asking blizzard to spend thousands of dollars on making SD models work in the retail/forever client just for like 1% of players who pick SD.
jeez man, talk about entitled. First world problems right?
yes it would affect us all because you’re asking for blizzard to spends what is potentially a lot of resources and time on something that benefits 1% of players.
meaning those resources and time are NOT going to improving the game, and instead are going to please a extremely small minority of players, where some of those SD-players won’t even care either way.
just fyi blizzard doesn’t make much money from WoW compared to their other franchises – WoW is more of a passion project they keep going because of the fans, so asking them to spend money to “fix” something like you’re asking, is really out of touch and shows that you don’t care about people much you just care about yourself.
blizzard doesn’t have infinite resources and time, especially not to spend on a game that they keep running for the fans, not for the money.
WoW has netted blizzard around 1 billion dollars over its lifetime – if you subtract the money it costs to run it, to make it, and so on… Diablo 4 has far exceeded that amount as has Diablo Immortal – okay? we all need to realize that blizzard works on WoW because they actually care about us, not because they have infinite resources to spend on it.
If it costs too much they’ll end up being asked to stop developing WoW because it’s not breaking even/making any money – so let’s keep our requests realistic
