Skyborne racials are now a joke!

I played Skyborne during the beta, loved the race, loved the lore, and one thing I really enjoyed was the leyline idea. It was such a fresh idea and truly rewarded you for going out of your way. While questing it was truly a unique experience seeing these little things where I could get some increased power.

Right now this “attuned” buff is so tragic. As it reads right now, for a Horde skyborne you seem to get a quick sprint ability every 2 minutes and then if I go find the attunement thing I get a slightly better sprint. But I lost my short little always on movement speed buff. What gives?

The prior version was fine. Absolutely fine. I got rewarded for going out of my way sometimes while questing, to find a leyline, and get a nice 15 minute buff. It didn’t hurt anyone. It gave me a choice while questing, let me go explore the world looking for these things. It felt like a great way to interact with the world and now…what’s the point?

Is it even worth it to go out of my way anymore to go get some beefed up short little ability? What other race had something like that? What other race had something where I can get a nice buff when I interacted with the world?

I saw some posts about people saying it was overpowered. Ok, that’s fine, cut the numbers or whatever make them smaller. But what bothers me now is I lost the short little buff that made going out in the world and finding these leylines FUN and REWARDING. Now I don’t even get a little buff. I just get an empowered cooldown, big whoop.

Can we PLEASE go back to being rewarded with a longer buff version of this racial? Even if it’s a lesser version?

I’d rather they just remove the leyline system and buff the actual on use racial. Also give Horde the option to take the Alliance one.

All they had to do was take away the interaction between innervate and ley line regen (they did this), maybe evocation, and probably remove the interaction it has with talents like meditation/reflection.

Now what we get is a “world buff” that we will have to micromanage for the racial to work as fully intended. And only for 15 seconds at all times. Great work blizz! Can’t wait to log out to save my hour buff!

it’s a very slow sprint and it’s absolutely miserable as compared to the alliance

zero usefulness for druids and shamans

plus the alliance version is in effect a damage racial

30% movement with the elemental convergence is not half bad for 15 seconds in classic. It should not REQUIRE the tornado though and just work as it did before. 30% in elf form, downgrading to 10% stacking with other movement increases would have been perfectly fine.

I don’t think the old 15 minute version or this new 1 hour version should work in raids or dungeons.

Should have stayed a leveling quality of life on 15 mins in the open world. But in instances, 15 seconds. That part was FINE.

Nothing in the patch notes specifies that they changed or removed the 15 minute buff, btw. Bretty sure the hour buff is in addition to the 15 minutes buff, not replacing it.

It’s the hour buff for the potency of the abilities to be higher.

So ley line racial with world node is 50% to 100%.

Skysight is 15% to 30% if you get the world node.

The durations of both are 15 seconds now regardless.

frankly i think it should stack at the full value.

why would a cat druid gain less from that sprint than a bear druid?

why would a shaman in ghost wolf?

ok I understand it not stacking with sprint and dash, that’s fine, but the form movement speeds? no.

You can get it back through a boots enchant. Which is also the reason they changed it. Everyone gets 8% movement speed. Night Elf got 10%, passively. Which is the same as the temporary Horde Skyelf racial.

They should just make all Movement things stack up to 50% movement. So it won’t stack with Sprint but Cheetah and Racial would stack.

Its awful. Not even worth a keybind.

“I’d rather they just remove the leyline system”

Thinking like that is why modern WoW the way it is. You’d rather just sit in a city all day and then teleport to a dungeon. Don’t want to go out into the world.

Im going to play Skyborne despite their suboptimal racials and there’s not a thing any of you can do to stop me.

It’s a mini rogue sprint on a 2 minute cooldown. It is certainly not awful. Especially for melee classes. But still good for casters just the same.

It’s a 30% sprint for 15s that’s only useful to warriors, useless for everyone else. The only horde casters who can use this are druids and shaman who already have a better on demand sprint with no CD.

You realize 2 sprints is better than 1 right? And you can cast in this without wasting mana without swapping to travel form/ghost wolf. I don’t agree with your mindset. This racial will be very good. Uptime for melee and kiting for casters is going to feel better having this than not.

Not when one of them is not only faster but has no CD. Nobdy is putting this on their action bar except warriors, and even then 30% for 15s is barely doing anything.

Well. I think you’re dead wrong. People will use this and many more will complain about it being too strong for melee. Mark my words.

People will complain about anything so I don’t doubt you are correct, but it’s just not very useful. The alliance version even in its nerfed state at least still provides a benefit that those classes don’t already have. This one is simply just a worse version of what every class bar warrior already has.

I mean I’m not interested in arguing with you over your preferences. Just know, many melee players will want this racial and the 2% haste bonus. Horde skyborne is not as bad now as people want to pretend with the alliance skyborne gutting.
