In both vanilla classics I have played the runecloth bag vendors were permanently camped by bots - and a recipe with then vendor cost of 1g20 was on the auction house for months for 10-20g.
On day1 of beta a bunch of level 5 hunters had run into Winterspring.
Perhaps identify these bots early or put a required level to be able to enter into winterspring. Best solution would be to change the recipe to being unlimited supply on the vendor.
Limited supply vendor recipes need to really be given attention & looked at. I know in other versions of classic they made some changes to help with it like limited how many you can buy or just increasing supply, but they really should double down on it for Forever. The layers/shards will help, but the sheer number of players in total is absurdly disproportional to the supply of most limited vendor recipes. Theres no reason to try & keep vanilla aspects when the population is so far from vanilla.
There are two patterns from Qia that are BoP (for mooncloth and a leatherwork pattern that is of little interest), the rest are BoE including for runecloth bag. Note the pattern you linked is from classic, the pattern for runecloth bags in forever warcraft has changed - you additionally need 4 magenta dye and 2 cerulean dye which will make the bags much more expensive if beta drops rates are any indication.
I’ve seen the devilsaur mafia in operation. I needed to poison one of the devilsaurs for a druid quest… was taking quite a long time - finally paid one of the mafia off to let me have one of the devilsaurs. They grouped with me so they could get the skin. I was hoping with all the new crafting items there would be some better pre-bis gear (the devilsaur items were pre-bis for most classes except casters) but I can’t see any from what’s known so far - though we don’t yet know the dungeon drops from the many new high level dungeons.
We got the same issue with other patterns in the game. I noticed this issue for leatherworking. They should just take away the limited quality and make them permanently available on the vendors.
They adjusted the Cultivation racial to not work unless the player is within the appropriate level. I believe they said Level of Herbalism Required to Pick said herb divided by 5, so a 300 herb requires level 60. Though, I imagine there will definitely be level 60 bots doing this.
I think its feasible bc there was what i thnk was a bug (dont know if it was acknowledged or fixes) where rhe aggro radius of mobs didnt increase as they relative level to you increased.
I didnt see that specific recipe but i did see other enchanting and leatherworking recipes sold by venders and they were soulbound after you bought them. I was actually traveling around looking for recipes to see if they could be resold and i never found one.
Yeah I thought all the limited inventory Recipes from Vendors were now BOP and unlimited. When I read that I wanted to check if that was true for the Runecloth Bag recipe but I never went up to Winterspring.
