I think it goes without saying that this is not going to last as it stands. As soon as a melee gets kited by a hunter with 60% running speed, or has a druid just moonfire spamming them while uncatchable, or enters wsg and cant catch the flag carrier until they get an epic mount, people are going to lose it. The other changes are debatable in their pros/cons with logical arguments for both, but this… come on. Most classes do not have an instant cast dot to apply in order to remove plainsrunning. A feral druid stealthed is going to move faster than anyone on foot! They’ll be 30% faster which will let them be faster in stealth than a skyborn with their active.
Furthermore, with the changes to dungeon xp, this makes all tauren druid groups the ideal group. Since they can now move faster in stealth than every class in the game moves at normal speed, you can just stealth to the bosses for their xp, loot, quests etc and skip all of the trash.
This is so disheartening that someone thought this was a good idea and then it was approved.

you should try it first, the stacks are slow to form, they do not go up while stealthed, any hit or slowing down quickly removes stacks. Its going to be solid for things like running to the Barrens, picking flowers/mines. But for pvp I dont think this has any actual merit.

In wpvp you can pick your fights. It takes a couple minutes and then you can run on foot at mount speed and snipe low levels with instant cast abilities on classes with the longest range instant casts in the game. And you can get well on your way to maxing it out while running to the opposing flag room, especially if stealthed as druid.

I played Tauren and will be playing Tauren regardless, but this is horrid.
They nerf’d the hell out of Taurens and give us a level 40 mount at level 1 that no one was asking for.
Please for the love of god give Tauren the hit back with endurance and make plainsrunning 30% again.

Good thing the game isn’t balanced around 1v1 pvp. Your team can just dot the cows and they’ll lose stacks

You’ve never been in a wsg where the druid goes down the side of the map and your team is bogged down? Normally you’d just mount up and intercept them, but now they run just as fast as a normal mount if it maxes out. A stealthed feral that moves faster than every class does on foot is still a balancing issue for bgs.

it seems good, but it’s functionally useless in any real combat situation.

2 of 4 tauren classes can attack with instant casts at 36 yards while moving at 60% speed. Only other hunters, druids, plus priests and warlocks have an instant dot with enough range to even hit them. 60% speed makes it a lot easier to max range people to avoid casts.

You say they don’t go up while stealthed, but couldn’t you just burning man in circles at the beginning then stealth run to the bosses once you’re capped at 60%? That seems extremely beneficial since the trash mobs are just a useless time sink.

not really. It’s a useless racial at level 40 once you get your first mount.
So yeah, it’s great for leveling in the first 3-4 weeks of the game.

Nice another person making a thread that doesn’t understand how plainsrunning actually works.

60% feels wild to me, but honestly the 3% mount speed seemed more OP to me.

What are you talking about?

All of your scenarios are very weird and not an actual issue with how Plainesrunning actually works. I thought this was a trollpost throwing out weird bait but you seem to be earnest.

I was prepared to get that Hit back when read the Dwarf change tbh. Just weird changes all around.

That was constructive, good job
I mean it. THe way the buff works it is going to have no actual impact in Dungeons, it’s not going to be an issue in BGs, etc. The only scenario you’ve come up with that might have anything impactful would be closing the distance on an unsuspecting person in wPVP and that’s not actually going to do anything once combat starts either.

Half the classes in the game can’t hit a druid or hunter at max range. A flag carrier moving at mount speed has an impact on bgs. A feral in stealth that can move faster while stealthed than base movement speed is at a huge advantage in the hallways and buildings of wsg where people can’t mount. All druid stealth runs can again move faster while stealthed than base movement speed while skipping all of the trash and covering every roll. You guys are underselling it.
