Join Arator Windrunner as he ventures into the depths of the Void with the aid of his mentor, Umbric, in search of clues about his missing parents' fate. Along the way, he must learn to confront the Void without losing himself to it.
Arator - the light is pure.
Void is evil.
Heed back….
Thank you for the nice story and voicing it.
i genuinely wish i cared since i liked arator’s pre-launch presentation and that cinematic with auntie veressa inking him up a lot but boy midnight has not done much to live up to that
You know what would be neat? Is if we got some custom character appreciation. I don’t care about these garbage NPCs or their little stories. The game is about the player behind the screen. So when doing future cut scenes include us doing important things. Maybe less of the NPCs taking credit for our hard work. There was a cut scene I watched the other day and i was just shaking my head the whole time. It’s where Liadrin gets the venom knife from Zul’Jan. Our character is shoved somewhere in the back. Then when we go to turn in the quest Liadrin is like “gimme the knife”. I’m like “I literally just watched you take it”. This is the poor continuity the game has. The cut scene just should’ve had Zul’Jan give us the knife! Then we get another cut scene where zul jarra is rallying the forces and we are literally in the regular ranks with the common soldiers. For real! I am literally the Savior of Azeroth!!!
Take the resources from these stupid short stories and invest them back into the player base. Give our characters worth and value. Stop stealing honor from us!
Why is Arator giving Resting Boat Face? ![]()
A nothing burger comic for a terrible character that’s already been given too much screen time. Gee, thanks.
I cannot wait for this god awful saga to be concluded so we never have to see Arator again.
But daddy issues ![]()

Or Orwenya… once this saga is over the Haranir will just be thrown away. Just like the Earthen before them.
I love in insight into how the Ren’doraei train. We’ve heard people talking about it, but it’s totally different seeing what they’re actually up against and how they learn to fight it.
I’d prefer it that way, tbh.
Mmmm I miss Anduin tbh. Arator is simply going down a similar path as Anduin and I am not invested in that character as much as I am Anduin. Because Anduin is the king of Stormwind, and one of the most powerful light users in the wow universe. He’s has been through so much that his resolve wouldn’t break to the void at this point either. Why not explore more Anduin and move on with his story instead of retelling the same thing over again.
Plussssssss
Anduin is a priest. A class we can play that also dips into the void. Its more interesting than a Paladin.
I dunno I guess that was a mini rant on sort of leaving behind one of my favorite characters during a light / void saga.
No, thanks.
I can’t even finish the story chains in retail because it’s so insufferably grating.
This has been a core theme this whole expansion and now you refused to read the room and doubled down…
The voice acting is great! Can’t knock that.
Void Paladins inc?
I think you’ve been inhaling a lot of hopium to believe that. Not that I don’t agree with the sentiment, but I think he’s a “new” leader that’s gonna be around a while. Gotta have someone to replace the dead and retired old school NPCs.
Especially after they gutted their core identities. No sense of having shells of former great heroes hang around. Lets just pass the torch to the next generation of kids who never earned a place in the plot. Who are completely devoid of any personality or anything interesting. Faerin, Arator, and Orwenya are gonna guide us into a glorious age of suck.
I’m still not sold on the idea that there’s any value in messing with the void at all.
Great, middle aged teenager.
Well, this will probably fill in some gaps at a later date. But I wish you hadn’t done this to him. I’m not sure how anything positive will come out of messing around with a power that can make you kill a friend. Just for some reason he doesn’t. Then he gets a pat on the head for doing what?
Thanks for the effort. I’m just not getting what the point is in all of this.
Gotta be real, not much of a fan. Yuri Lowenthal’s voice work is great, but this is feeling like a cinematic you guys storyboarded and couldn’t get into the game.
