The WoW: Forever Podcast: Episode 5 - End of Beta Special

Disappointed that they are unmoving on the state of dungeons. Maybe when things go live and we have a tank and healer shortage and people are doing the new dungeons 1 time then never again the team will decide to reconsider.

The current state of things is a bit sad to see because there is no reason for certain specs to ever step into specific dungeons because the xp is terrible, the quest rewards were nerfed (or there’s no quests period), and they have no incentive to leave questing to do it. So many dungeons are just gonna sit dormant.

So excited for launch!

Hopefully some clarification on the RP PvP faction lock etc

Do you not realize how insane it is to say we dont know who this game is for yet we will figure it out over time???

Thats how we got retail lmfao

Rug pull coming

every single solitary podcast makes me less confident I will play. That was the worst thing these devs have said so far

I Realized Right Away.

This is the version of WoW that will bring back all the Disenfranchised Players who left after the previous 2 peaks.

The Pillars address those reasons.

Once you realize the correct audiance (not the classic/vanilla/retail crowds) it all makes sens

Just Watch & Wait..

WoW Forever will cause WoW to peak bigger this time. While nurturing the ideas that lead to peak WoW so long ago.

saying they are making the game for new playerrs or something is completely different from saying we dont know who the target audience is and we will find out over time then change the game according to their will.

In other words: if enough retail players prefer forever to retail then we will end up with 2 retails

do you not see what a glaring issue that is lmao

To Me, Retail is the voice of what went wrong and drove everyone away. Along with devaluing and trivializing everything in the game.

1 button mode and NPC parties.. disgusting…

This is a hillarious blast, having so much silly fun

keep the podcasts coming! Glad they are not stopping them, even if they went to bi-weekly or monthly in the long term, they are just great! Truly appreciate it.

I think they’re just being vague on purpose so they don’t scare anyone off before launch. But it’s pretty obvious from everything they’ve done so far that it’s built for Classic players: no flying, no dungeon finder, no arenas, level 60 forever. That’s not a game made for retail players.

And in the end they’ll cater to whoever actually sticks around. The people who leave after a month aren’t the ones they’ll build the game around, it’s the ones still playing a year from now, and that’s mostly going to be us.

I hope youre right. But in any event, they need to STOP with this crypitc BS!

All this corporate double speak is NOT helping them or us! it is asbolutely not a good idea to be signaling that they have dont know who is going to show up to wow forever, and they will cater to whoever does.

that is the worst possible thing they could let a classic enjoyer hear imo.

Yeah, I did not like that but at least they are being honest!

I would not call this honesty in fact its the exact opposite

they are being intentionally vague, in order to allow people who they ARENT making this game for to feel it IS for them or will become more like the game they want over time, with no itnention of delivering that. Honesty?

look in that thread I made. look at the retail audience coming in to say “yeah make those classic andies pipe down!” you see whAT i mean? The retail audience heard these devs say “if ore of you play forever we will make it for you.” you see what im saying?

Oh I realize. On other forums I’ve been saying the Devs don’t have a strong vision for the game and just keep knee jerk reacting to the loudest voices.

Its not a good look for them IMO. Its not a good way to develop a game.

its not a good way to develop ANY game

but its a whoooooole other level of concerning considering the story of how we even GOT to the concept of classic +/wow forever.
