The Camping system in World of Warcraft: Forever lets players create shared campsites where they can rest, craft, and gain useful benefits from profession-made features. Beginning with the Cooking profession’s Basic Campfire, the system gives adventurers new reasons to prepare together and connect while traveling through Azeroth.
No thank you.
The camp fire its self should give the rested xp boost make the tent give minor movement speed then you will have something actually worth sitting down for as its stands now during lvling if there is no tent i wont bother.
Why is there no mention of the mining buff in the article or am I mad
No smores for you. ![]()
i feel like the campfire extends a minute by 60 seconds. i have no proof but dang sitting there makes it the longest minute
Pretty cool i must say.
It is a great feature and I am saving myself from experience all this in beta for the launch experience.
Great news more social features like this especially when we are sitting outside a alliance strong hold
Please do something for mining. As a prot warrior bs, mining and cooking seem to be the most useful but mining has no benefit.
even blizzard is posting forever garbage in the retail general forums?
Umm, no thanks. You can’t even fix the numerous bugs in the labyrinth.
More accurately we scream at each other to drop the buff thing we want and then leave ASAP

Blizzard needs to add the campfire to the API though – it’s frustrating to walk up to a camp fire, drop your item into the campfire and have the fire fade 30 seconds later. being able to see the campfire expires in 30 seconds so I don’t waste my 1 hour cooldown to put down something that nobody can use would be amazing.
Been playing with someone’s addon- CampfireKit and its amazing for seeing what is there and being able to ask for what you want (to others with the add-on) and even placing items and doing trade skills at the camp – the biggest issue is that there is all this new stuff with no API to be able to track the fire and the time left.
Basic Campfire for Warchief.
I love the fantasy of this.
I can visualize it on the edge of the road in Ashenvale, the fire bringing some light to the nearby darkness.
Somone slowly walking up out of the shadows, “Hello in the camp!”.
Folks sitting around and trading stories or whatever.
Its a great fantasy.
The reality, I fear, weill be much more sterile.
Folks walking up, buffing at the site, not saying a word, then leaving.
Or, someone walks up to wait for their 1m, and the “owner” decamps and the traveller falls on the ground as their log dematerializes beneath them. (I have no idea how the camp and such works, how long they last, etc.)
The fantasy of setting up camp, and an NPC saunters in, offering a quest, or they’re a specialized vendor, or whatever. Again, more great fantasy, but it morphs into “I’ve had the camp set up for 5m, where is this guy! I got the vendor again! RNG sux!!” etc. etc.
It would be cool if the addition of any new buff item refreshed the duration of the campfire. it could even have a little “flame up” graphic.
There’s an entire category for W:F on this forum.
Why exactly do you feel the need to pollute this section of the forums with stuff we don’t intend to play?
“Let’s gather 'round the campfire, and sing our campfire song~”

Waaaahhh.

Build the damn campfire in those forums. Could you people remotely hire someone who knows the proper place for specific posts.
