There are YouTube videos of five man grind teams in out of way spots in caves able to grind 1-30 in 10-12 hours. Several teams have already mapped these strategies out to grind to 60. Dungeon runs are nerfed but booster grinds are alive and well. Are there plans to deal with this method?
I’m not trying to sound combative but what are they doing wrong? It’s not a violation or an exploit… ![]()
There’s a really strange community of people that see others going through the world and playing a different way than themselves.. and it simply eats at them enough that they decide they need to try and police others. Super strange.
ok, then let them. how does this affect your daily login and game play? no matter what blizzard does, people are going to find a way to min/max. its never going away. may as well just rip that bandage off now.
Some miserable antisocial people see groups of friends accomplishing things they can’t and want to police it. That’s really as deep as it goes.
Spawn rates are abnormally high. They won’t stay this way indefinitely on launch.
Don’t think anything about how they play enters my mind one bit. It’s the developers who decided being out in the world was enough to nerf dungeon XP to stop boosting but yet the same method will be employed outside the dungeons. Lessen the experience to normal creatures to the same as dungeons is my point. People can continue to XP that way all they want.
They’re just existing and the World of Warcraft community has more Karens than a Black Friday sale at Costco.
Not to sound combative, but did dungeon grinders violate the rules or exploit the game?
If five players grinding mobs together is a legitimate way to level, why wasn’t five players running dungeons treated the same way?
I’m all for letting people level however they enjoy. I just wish that philosophy applied to everyone.
I mean what did you expect with the dungeon XP being nerfed as it is?
My thoughts exactly. I understand it was incredible way to level and gear up at once but they could have met in some middle ground and not destroyed it almost nothing. Let the first x dungeons give normal XP with no respawn then the reduced rates every 24 hours. Anything but they had to gut it.
that sounds like your planning on doing exactly this aoe power group then lol
Who cares, let the neckbeards rush the game.
It’s just a veiled “dungeon xp nerf” whine thread. Don’t think about it too hard.
I don’t care, however the devs didn’t want dungeon grinding so people would be out in the world doing quests and socializing. This would go in direct opposition of their stated goal. So I’ll be curious if it goes unchecked or not
Exactly! Glad there are more threads about this in addition to the one I posted here.
I don’t care how anyone plays but don’t let there only be one primary “powerleveling” way IE cave hyperspawn farming. There should be equal choice between hyperspawn farming, dungeon spamming or world quests etcetera for xp/hour.
Not denying that. Not expecting anything to happen since at this stage of the game but I’ll try any angle to get some of the XP damage changed.
Just means they never should have stated that goal. It’s impossible to enforce.
What if the cave farmers met organically while questing, grouped up, and decided to farm the cave for a while? Technically that’s exactly in-line with their stated goal.
I hate this personality type honestly…who tf cares if people do this? what possible impact does it have on anyone else?
It’s still very likely for changes to still happen. After the apple incident went public, dev(s) have come out saying they’re keeping an active eye on any outliers to xp/hour.
