AMD Driver crash after latest patch

The game is unplayable. As soon as I load into a character the game freezes and the driver crashes. Upon recovery it crashes again. I have to alt-f4 to get it to stop.

AMD Radeon 7900 xt.

The game was running flawlessly before the most recent patch.

Drivers are up to date.

BIOS is up to date.

I can play other GPU demanding games, such as WH40k Darktide, without issue.

AMD has had many issues throughout this beta, i wouldn’t doubt it.
i’m on a 14900k intel haven’t had any entire time

I also have the 14900k Intel. It’s a fantastic CPU.

oh my bad the gpu haha. i get the amd gpu and cpu’s mixed up. they like to use same 4 digit model type for both there gpu’s and cpu’s. i’m running nvidia 5070. yeah the 14900k has been great for far. had it for few years.

been eyeballing the core ultra 400 series lately. the idea of being able to run a server and game on same pc with no slow down is awesome. 52 core 52 thread 244 L3 cache dual tile monster

I used to mistake peoples dual AMD builds as dual gpu builds with mixed cards. “wHeRe’S tHe CpU?”

I have AMD as well, cpu and gpu no issues at all with the game. AMD Radeon 780M and a Ryzen 7 8745HS.

I have an AMD 9070XT GPU and I have been having serious issues. Yesterday was fine after the patch and everything was working great. Now I try to log in today and it is a slide show. Even if I turn down the settings. Also have an Intel CPU.

Update Edit: If I am running in a “Windowed” mode then the game is fine, but now I have task bars visible and the like.

AMD 9600X with a 9070 GRE, version 26.10.44 driver.

No issues since they fixed the FPS leak.

AMD 9800X3D, 32GB RAM, RX 7800 XT.

My graphics settings were reset yesterday but I haven’t had any issues with the beta and none now.

I’ve been playing for about an hour after trying a multitude of things. Unfortunately I tried two at once and I don’t know if it’s one, the other, or both.

I deleted the “Cache” folder for WoW forever. I also lowered graphics to the lowest, entered the game, and then raised them. I even have “Secondary Lighting” set to the recommended high.

I don’t know what conclusions to draw from this.

Running a 5950X + RX 9070 build on Linux (in which one runs the Windows version of the game via Proton) here, all settings maxed out, 2560x1440 windowed fullscreen. No problems and get about 135FPS standing at the SW docks looking out across the harbor.

The issue may be tied specifically to the Windows version of the AMD GPU drivers.
