[FEEDBACK] Hunter Talent - Summon Hawk (Bugged)

Currently the Hawk will fly out to target, attack once, but then stops attack and returns to player while the target is still alive and being attacked by main pet.

If you press /petattack (macro) a 2nd time, the Hawk will return back to the target and then will stay on target.

I am assuming this was supposed to work similar to Murder of Crows from retail. But with slight changes. But regardless the Hawk should stay on target.

EDIT: This seems linked to having Pet Passive active. Which is what your pet should be on during dungeon and raid runs. Pet Assist is nice in open world, but not preferable in an instance. SO TLDR, pet only works as it should with PET ASSIST is active.

Take your pet off passive and you won’t have this issue. As their behaviour is based off of your pet bar settings.

I mentioned this in my original post.

All pets are supposed to stay on target even when Pet Passive is active until the target is dead.

Once the target is dead, they should return to you regardless if your attacking something.

This is extremely important if your jumping between targets, you want all your pets to stay on the target that you commanded them to attack via /petattack.

A good example of why this is important is you may want to keep the pets attacking a target. Your main target. But you may have other NPCs or PLAYERs coming at you and you will want to Shatter Shot or Concussive Shot the 2nd target (NPC or PLAYER). With Pet Assist ACTIVE, the pets will leave your primary target and attack the 2nd target that you may just want to CC for the moment. So hope this explains why..

Yes still a bug. Even if you put /petattack in macro it only hits once. You can put your pet on defend me stance but one time getting hit by an aoe and your pet goes running off and good luck getting invited again.

It needs to attack the target you cast it on and STAY there until time expires or target dies. Really not that difficult. Not sure why it takes more than one attempt to fix it.

I generally have pet set to assist and 90% of the time this hawk only does damage on it’s initial appearance and then just sits there. It animates like it’s attacking but I don’t see any damage on the meter from its DoT effect. Only the initial hit. Not sure if it’s a bug with the meter or if it’s not actually doing damage.

It just feels like a waste of a GCD when arcane shot is better overall.
