A number of art assets were recently datamined in the latest Beta build of WoW Forever.
While we appreciate the feedback and discussion online, please be advised that these assets are not intended for this version of World of Warcraft.

well we’re being very critical of the sky elf models and so on
you know what here. aside from the wolf which went to far. i thought the other two would be nice additions to classic. both the turtle mount and chicken mount have existed in classic form. hell even classic+ players are aware of a certain competing product that featured a turtle. blizzard shouldnt chicken out on making new mounts. thats what + is for. just make them more classic like. as for the ghsot wolf. this would be solved by giving us the spectral tiger. you know the one thing thats been gated behind the stupid tcg since forever
Nothing was “datamined” you have employees who feed wowhead information. You are partnered with them and also why your CMs push people over to their ad infested website constantly.
What you mean to say, is there was miscommunication between parties and things weren’t clarified before clickbait articles were written and published with disinformation.

There is a riding turtle already thats will be available from the black market auction house, saw it last night on the PVP server for 3k (assuming someone with a lot of gold spiked it that high lol) So seems like they are adding a lot of TCG items to the BMAH
So Retail is getting them? Okay, neat I guess.
Can we please also get timely responses on the forums to our game breaking bugs like Forever does? 
They definitely panicking because the assets are clearly item shop models.
Not sure how these were not intended for this version of the game, when this version of the game is based upon one of the latest Vanilla WoW patches.
What wasn’t intended, was to let the player base know they already have Item Shop cosmetics locked and loaded before the game has released.

First month playing WoW, huh? Welcome!
Datamining the game goes back too the vanilla days.
Because the concerns about art direction are pretty valid and have a real chance to derail the excitement of their target audience.

Oh so retail is getting a spectral wolf that holds 3 people and a reskinned rooster and turtle?
We’ll hold you to that.
Now how about the ridiculous tabard, backpack and murloc pet also see their way into the erroneous datamining bucket?
