10% Increased damage to non-periodic effects + 10% cost reduction (energy/rage/mana) + extra resource (more rage/energy/mana)
Isn’t that like overtuned? Rogues will get more dmg with less energy usage, arcane mages will have more mana to spend. Fury warriors?
Gnomes are going to be busted in PvE compared to the other races
Orcs and trolls racials doesn’t seem to be even close to this

I mean… if you’re an affliction lock or shadow mage, it has zero effect at this point. Hard to be overpowered if it doesn’t effect your abilities.

/who orc warlock 1 60
zero online at this time.
It’s an 8s duration every 2mins, at most you’ll get 3-4 abilities out during it anyway. It aint as broken as you think it is.
I mean, it’s a cooldown where you press all your consumables and trinkets.
Orc’s is a 3min cd and it’s just sp/ap where gnome is 10% more dmg in a 2min cd.
Don’t think it’s broken, but gnomes are just gonna be topping more than any other race

8 seconds every 2 minutes that rogues almost get to make use of all of their finishers lmao

While the effect is powerful when it’s up, the duration/cooldown result in relatively low/infrequent uptime. I don’t think it will end up being overpowered in the long-term.
(Compared to a similar 2-minute cooldown like blade flurry that lasts 15 seconds)
Yet Eureka is an active racial ability, not a class ability, so I don’t think it needs to be incredibly strong, it’s just supposed to be a noteworthy perk of choosing that race.
I mean… they idea of cooldown racials like Blood fury from orcs or Eureka is to use them in a short window where you pop up your biggest dmg possible.
There’s where you make a difference.
Gnome can just output more dmg while consuming less resources during that window. It’s extremely powerful.
Imagine having more energy (Expansive mind racial) and you also during that burst window get not only 10% more dmg but also your ability cost 10% less energy lmao
Blood fury got nerfed to a 3 min cd. and it’s 10% sp/ap increase whereas Eureka is a 10% dmg
Eureka is a 2min cd

It’s definitely a powerful effect, and definitely will be stacked with other class cooldowns for execute phases, or even just pre-emptive routine cycling of the cooldown for net output. But is it “too” strong? Idk.. I think it’s reasonably in line with the strength of many other racial abilities now, particularly if accounting for the updates to passives. I mean humans just got a flat +2% crit with all weapons passively, and skybourne now boasts +3% haste passive. Those are arguably more significant in other ways over the full duration of an encounter than what gnome will be able to do with Eureka in a burst/execute phase.
I’ll add the caveat that if you’re talking about like a 1v1 PvP situation, then for sure Eureka is stronger than passives.
I also think it’s good for there to be some small incentives for people to choose Gnome for their given playstyle or priorities. And at the same time, I don’t think this iteration of Eureka is so strong that players will feel “forced” to choose Gnome as if it’s definitively meta.
Orcs racial duration is 2x the duration of gnome’s while also being only 1.5x the cooldown.
Gnomes won’t be topping as drastically as you think they will as cooldowns are scarces in this version of WoW and next to no toolkits to utilise said cooldowns.
Doesn’t hurt that Alliance has races you would want to play, Horde can’t have all the fun toys.
Its the same, for warriors rogues and mages. Its priests and warlocks that get completely screwed by eureka, but that was the case BEFORE this round of changes. The addition of non-periodic to the tooltip was a real slap in the face to those classes.
If you’re a Shadow priest, you get ONE SINGLE MIND BLAST - even if you’re spec’d into it.
The change could be really good for gnome rogue pvp in combo with thistle tea.
