I feel that the Windshaper’s Skysight is going to prove to be far less generally valuable to many of its users than the High Order’s Read Leyline. 3 of the five available Windshaper classes already have near-permanent movement speed increases greater than 15%, and while it’s not useless, it is significantly more marginal than a huge infusion of mana/health.
On top of the performance concerns, the flavor feels lopsided. I understand that the Skyborne have lived amongst elemental air for millennia, but I feel that of all the traits of theirs that could draw upon other elements, Skysight’s “draw upon an Elemental Convergence” feels primed to grant you a buff in tune with the nature of the convergence you’ve found (earth, fire, water, or air) in a way that wouldn’t make sense for their other traits. I’d love to see something like this that really makes them feel closer to the world in this way, rather than imposing their own nature on the world around them.
lmao i took that stupid run speed buff off my bar at lvl 20, as does 3/4 of the classes that can play as that race. couple that with the fact that you have to find the stupid things to begin with, and its only useful in the newbie yard. I wish they just gave leyline baseline to both factions…its the same dang race.
I understand why they wouldn’t want both to have the Arcane-themed ability, but yeah the move speed is incredibly underwhelming. I’d love to see it become something where there is a different effect for each element, like Earth reduces physical damage taken by a flat amount (like stoneskin totem), Water increases your mana regen, Fire pulses aoe damage, Air grants movespeed and dodge.
I’d change it to instant cast with the result being a quick run burst.
That would make it more useful in a moment of duress when you need to relocate. And I’d have it on my bar.
As it stands I keep it on my non-hotkey bar because it has a cast time and if I need it in a pinch the cast time ruins it. So I’d give up the 15 mins when you find an air thingy for the known value that is instant.
100% I hate it, especially since it doesn’t STACK with other movement
The 3% haste and slow fall cooldown reduction is nice give credit wheres its due.
honestly feels like out of the two skyborn alliance is far better then horde skyborn because of the “Read Leyline” even if it doesn’t work in combat.

Taurens war stomp is nice maybe horde skyborn should be a slow effect on nearby enemy’s?
Honestly would be way better I really dislike I have to go around the world zone just to even really make it worth wild while every other race is passive or click instant…
honestly believe its going to be something where someone will build a addon just to show all the locations of that darn things FOR A PASSIVE ABILITY *facepalm
