I have risen from slumber to continue my dayshift of trying to help the developers and the community understand RP-PVE and RP-PVP are two fundamentally distinct different communities.
There are two distinctly different philosophies on what roleplay is between the two communities and while some of us can play nice with the philosophies, others will report people for griefing and trolling when it’s just…RP-PVP and then you’ll be forced to take actions on people accounts. Or if you don’t, you’ll force the other group to start becoming more increasingly hostile and you’re going to just have created a terrible environment all because you’re being lazy and not doing the simple thing and giving RP-PVPers their space.
Listen to them. They can tell you how well they’ve been received in the other communities over the years that you’re trying to force them to go into outside of the fact that you’re forcing them to split their communities in half to go to one or the other.
I would go so far as to say that whomever crafted this decision should just resign because it feels like it’s going completely against the spirit of what Forever is supposed to be.
