Not to step on any RP-PvE toes either, I want us all to have a place, but it is quite insane to me that they decided RP should be a ruleset for them but none for RP PvP, when I believe we actually need it more for concrete reasons:
- These are different, distinct communities who will not necessarily roll together. They seem concerned about population numbers, but as it stands right now RP PvP VASTLY outnumbers normal RP in terms of population. So why did they deem it that RP were the ones in need of their own realm?
- The needs of a separate ruleset for RP PvP is inherently more pronounced for any kind of playstyle involving PvP due to the possibility of griefing. RP-PvE can (suboptimally) RP on the normal realm while mainting most of their experience intact. The same cannot be said for RP PvP. Flagging does not work, as is blatantly obvious to any PvPer, RP or not. The constant threat of PvP is the CORE of RP PvP.
Blizzard is so clearly misguided in this. And again, much love to our PvE RP counterparts, I don’t mean to encroach, but right now it seems as though they have our needs backwards and misunderstand our communities.
