Where Aggrend addresses the RP(PVP) ruleset.
Basically, it was a huge success on Grobbulus . They “brought the war back to warcraft” inadvertently with Grobbulus with that “RP PVP” tag. Never before seen levels of faction war and comradery. When Orgrimmar was attacked, the horde responded, FOR THE HORDE. And likewise, I’m sure our alliance counterparts would agree.
Aggrend used Crusader Strike (a Season of Discovery server) as another example of when the server population of an RP(PVP) server had declined. I almost spit out my coffee listening to this. OF COURSE the population of Season of Discovery declined, it was SEASONAL. It’s in the name. It should have been obvious.
He goes on to say that the RP community is a very small part of the overall population. I agree. And that they don’t want to take away further from the RP ruleset population-wise with the addition of RP(PVP) ruleset. But if that’s what would happen, then that is truly representative of the will of the players.
I think it’s time the RP community be held accountable, and the RP ruleset BECOMES the RP(PVP) ruleset. There is nothing Role Play about unflagging yourself in the WORLD of WARCRAFT. You choose your faction, you fight for your faction, you die for your faction. That is playing your role. FOR THE HORDE / FOR THE ALLIANCE. It is because of the RP ruleset that the very real RP(PVP) community is in the same way being fragmented.
Aggrend also alluded to “it’s something that sometime maybe down the line we might be able to figure out a solution for”…Let me stop you right there, we don’t want WARMODE. We want a PROPER RP SERVER/RULESET (AKA RP(PVP)).
HOLD THE RP COMMUNITY ACCOUNTABLE. The RP Ruleset MUST BE RP(PVP).
If you want to RP unflagged, GO TO BRILL / GOLDSHIRE.
If you want to RP in Blackrock Mountain, GO TO PVE Ruleset.
