Hey, look at that Blizzard, the demand for an RP-PvP ruleset in Forever was so popular a 2nd thread needed to be created to allow continued discussion! But no, we don’t deserve our own ruleset for reasons!
It is asinine they can acknowledge the success of Grobbulus, but entirely ignore it because of what happened on TEMPORARY SEASONAL and highly experimental servers which Blizzard also failed miserably to moderate as reason to not give RP-PvP. So many servers tanked during SoD’s lifespan, but they focus on the RP-PvP servers to create a narrative. They even acknowledged the streamers flocking to Crusader Strike, but ignore their lack of moderation of the streamers and their fans being the reason Crusader Strike needed to be changed from an RP-PvP server to a PvP server.
I was so excited for Forever, but hearing their reasoning for no RP-PvP on the latest podcast, and the ways they’ve been talking about numerous other things in the game has honestly killed so much of my excitement. I personally cancelled my sub and refunded my Forever Collection purchase. I just can’t forsee myself enjoying the game long-term without an RP-PvP ruleset. They are forcing me and many others to make a choice we shouldn’t have to make, and splitting a long standing dedicated community.
