The WoW: Forever Podcast: Episode 4 - The PvP Episode ft. ‪@TipsOutBaby‬ & ‪@Savixirl

Your answer on RP-PVP doesn’t make sense…

First of all, it’s not a big topic right now, It’s literally the BIGGEST topic right now.

Grobbulus was successful because of the community that rolled on it from day one. It was a fresh new game and there was no other place for RP-PVPers as retail moved to warmode. We are seeing that same excitement from RP-PVPers for Wow: F as they showed for classic and Grobbulus.

Crusader Strike failed from an RP sense because many of the RP-PVPers still had Grobbulus to play on when SOD released and didn’t make the move or played extremely casually. There wasn’t the same excitement for SOD that we saw for classic and Grobbulus, thus the community was split.

Streamers rolling on Crusader Strike was not a good thing. But if they were the reason Crusader Strike trended away from RP, then that means moderation of the ruleset was done poorly by blizzard. Regardless, we aren’t seeing any excitement from any major streamers about wanting/rolling on an RP-PVP ruleset.

I was planning to dip my toes alittle further into the RP side of things but I refuse to roll on a PVE (RP) server. I guess I’ll just roll normal PVP and not bother with RP stuff.

Last thought: If blizzard changes it’s mind on RP-PVP, I guarantee that ruleset will embody what WoW Forever is meant to be about; Community and War between the factions… and for many years to come.
