Hud does not display hotkeys with gamepad

WHen ever I launch the game using the gamepad all the hot keys are gone I can still use and change them but i cant see them, I also get this Lua error

Have you done anything with edit mode with gamepad UI active?

Have you tried deleting your WTF folder? (It is recommended to back it up before doing this; that way if it doesn’t fix it, you can restore it.)

Do you mean the blob of buttons or the other action bars?

the regular button bars are sort of hidden if you have controller UI on

The button blob showing all your controller buttons disappears sometime for me too, i will log out. and while on char selection screen, go in the menu turn controller ui off then on and then log in again, that fixes it for me now

I have only moved a few things around

I mean the controller UI Disapears, I know the regular action bars disapear and is replaced, but the UI that replaces it disapears too. and not I have not tried deleting my wow folder, I teather my phone for laptop internet so big installs take forvever.

To fix it i have to relaunch the game sometimes more than once. but the error always pops up

Try switching to an edit mode layout that’s the default layout and see if it changes anything.

Yeah that is the blob, or what I call it

I have found that logging out, then from char select screen open the menu then options then turn off gamepad, turn it back on and log in, that has been fixing it for me

I’ve been trying to get this to happen so I can troubleshoot it and report it but I have not been able to reproduce it.

seems like using the KBM does it sometimes, fullscreen map does it sometimes, sometimes i have no idea

I used to have to do this whole thing of switching to KUI quitting the game, logging did not work, then restarting, logging in with KUI up, then switch to CUI

Easier to unbug now after a few builds

I have damage meter on, I moved it to the upper middle screen, i movwd my portrait to the left target portrait to the right main swing timer to under my character model and chat taller. saved it. Now when I load the preset they go away and then i change my layout to gamepad preset then turn of gamepad alpha and turn it back on they come back, then I change to my preset and they disapear

Weird because I use KBM fairly often and fullscreen map and haven’t gotten my blob to disappear.

I’ll keep trying.

Yeah my phrasing was confusing.

I meant that I frequently use my KBM while gamepad UI is enabled (for bag, bank, mail, crafting, etc.) and haven’t had any issues doing so.

I went in an deleted my ui layout I had made a few builds ago, and then just made a new one

So far the bottom blob has not disappeared since, so could be it was an error in the layout save or something causing the bug

This time I DID NOT try to move the button blob in edit mode, just other stuff

Aha, sounds like a useful thing to report!

I have not moved my blob ever, so it appears that the disappearing only occurs if the blob has been moved from its default position.

I will try this and see if that fixes my issue. Week report later with update

Fun fact, moving the blobs edit box , did not actually move the blob, it would bounce back
