Yet another lazy dungeon design

Really? You’re just gonna reuse the Dalaran City asset again? Sit and think about how long this probably took someone to create. You have the whole map done already. All of the mobs are reused assets. No exaggeration, this dungeon probably took a few hours to make by pasting in mob spawn locations.

You couldn’t do like a “Hey, we need you to go to this arcane realm and defeat XYZ who is sending this invasion.” and make a new dungeon?

If this is the kind of “new” content we can expect, this is gonna be one sad “plus” version of the game.

I mean… it is Dalaran though?
Like… what did you expect, for Dalaran to not be Dalaran?

Try reading the whole post before just dumping a reply.

I read it, and nothing about what you said changes my question. You are complaining about the Dalaran dungeon… being set in Dalaran. You talking about “Bring it back from an Arcane realm” … why?

Dalaran is just a physical city, a magical one sure, that started flying in Wrath. But it is just a city that is just… sitting there, because that’s what Dalaran was until it start flying.

You read it but you obviously didn’t understand. What I mean is, you could have a portal in Dalaran and some NPC saying “oh brave hero, please travel to this Arcane Dimension and defeat the evil boss man who is sending these creatures”. In the portal, you have a whole new, interesting dungeon experience.

I could think up 30 different scenarios in as many seconds. Blizzard is being cheap and lazy.

I read it, and I understood that you are upset that the Dalaran dungeon … is set in Dalaran, which you considers lazy, because they reused the city of Dalaran as we have seen it in Wrath of the Lich King.

That’s the actual thing you are upset about.
“Why not do X” - oh-kay, why are you upset about a Dalaran dungeon is set in Dalaran? Because it is “cheap and lazy”? Because they used Dalaran … as Dalaran?

I get that you wanted something else, but you got Dalaran as a dungeon and as a city… because Dalaran is a city that we know of and how it looks like in-game, and they turned Dalaran into a dungeon.

This is just going to repeat because that is ultimately what you are upset about, and then you are adding onto just “Blizzard is cheap and lazy” to justify it.

You are complaining that Dalaran … is Dalaran … and that Dalaran exists as a dungeon to be cleared before it becomes a city accessible to players. That’s… literally all there is to it.

lmao

I can see where OP is coming from

This dungeon felt very copy/paste to me

Not to mention most of the mobs are immune to bleeds as Feral

I’m ngl it felt like crap

P.S. That being said, I liked RoL, Hall of Thanes, and Wetlands: Excavation!

You seem to not be understanding the point of the instance.

Like the Siege of Orgrimmar raid didn’t take place in Thousand Needles.

RoL was cool, so was HoT. Wetlands was mid. It was a big circular swamp, some tall grass and a hill and each had mobs slapped in it. BUT, it was at least a new dungeon.

I got like super Jurassic Parks vibes playing through Wetlands: Excavation - it was super spooky the first time as well getting feared into the grass and the chaos that insued

It was quite short for a dungeon though - I’d say right up there with SM: Graveyard

It wouldn’t be a Dalaran dungeon though if you went into a portal and fought somewhere completely different. This dungeon is sick and I hope they keep making content like this

So if given a choice between a brand new dungeon based on the vanilla world and a dungeon set in a city you’ve been in 1000 times, you’d choose the Dalaran dungeon?

To be fair I was expecting something new as well - I mean its called Dalaran Sewers (why? You’re only in the sewers in the beginning and then you go into the city?)

Also I havn’t done the quest to get the key yet but can anyone explain to me why there are elementals running all over Dalaran

Wait until you read about them making Molten Core.

Dude, WoW forever is a side thing for blizz, they are not gonna be going crazy with it lol.

Then they shouldn’t have bothered.

Blizzard does have a history of LOVING to use Dalaran at each and every point humanly possible - I didn’t think I would ever get sick of seeing that city, but damn, after the 14th time, it’s almost comical, lol.

that being said, this is Dalaran. As another poster said, you can’t just… not use Dalaran, where Dalaran is supposed to be.

I don’t know, whatever, I guess. There’s lots of new content and effort in dungeons that look pretty cool (see the other 8 being released). So it’s not fair to make your complete judgement off of one reused asset dungeon.

Eh? You sure about that? It’s literally called WoW forever - They intend to keep making content for the game - It’s not a bad thing to hold them to a higher standard
