Hunter Bug] Entrapment inconsistently triggers from traps — Frost Trap never works

I’m seeing inconsistent behavior with 5/5 Entrapment in the WoW Forever beta.

The talent states that when my traps are triggered, affected targets should be Entrapped/rooted for 5 seconds.

I tested this repeatedly against both players in duels and very low-level mobs (level 3) to rule out level difference/resists.

My results:

  • Immolation Trap: Entrapment appears to work reliably.
  • Freezing Trap: Entrapment is inconsistent — roughly 50/50 in my testing. Sometimes the root applies, sometimes it does not.
  • Frost Trap: Entrapment does not appear to work at all. Frost Trap activates and applies the slow normally, but the 5-second Entrapment root never applies.

This does not seem to be caused by mob level or resistance, since the same behavior occurs against level 3 mobs and players in duels.

Expected behavior:
When a trap successfully triggers, 5/5 Entrapment should consistently apply its 5-second root to the affected target.

Actual behavior:
Immolation Trap works reliably, Freezing Trap only works inconsistently, and Frost Trap never seems to trigger Entrapment at all.

I’ve reproduced this multiple times. It looks like different trap types may not be correctly triggering the new Entrapment effect.

Report it through the in-game bug system. This post won’t get any eyes from Blizz.

I did, but others need to see this so they can to.
