Edit: For those of you
ing on me, saying I’m trolling… I’m not trolling. It was literally just a thought.
Unlike so many other people, I don’t have tons of time to invest in the game. I don’t have the luxury of doing nothing but sit at home all day playing WoW. I’m not a streamer. I don’t get paid to play. I don’t pay attention to bug reports and stuff like that. I don’t know/understand all of the reasons why such an option wouldn’t work, or how/why it could be detrimental to the game.
I play WoW for fun. As an escape from the real world. I’m facing homelessness in the next few weeks because my rent is skyrocketing and I cannot afford the increase. I have no money, no savings, and nowhere to go. I signed up for the Beta so I could get a couple, maybe a few hours a week of escapism before I’m kicked out onto the street.
There’s just a part of me that wishes that all the time and effort I’m putting in now could somehow transfer over so it doesn’t feel so wasted.
I know it’s wrong for people to have an opinion on these forums. But instead of initially attacking people, and calling them trolls- try not to be such
s about it. Maybe try to understand where they are coming from.
Not everybody plays the same way you do. Not everybody knows everything you do. Somebody mentioned this was the kind of trolling horde did in the past… yeah. I knew nothing about that. Absolutely nothing. I’m not trolling, and I wasn’t trying to offend.
I’m sorry for having an opinion. I’m sorry for having a thought. It won’t happen again.
I’m loving Forever so far, but I’m trying not to put too much time into it because I do want there to still be some surprises when it officially launches.
That said, I wish we could transfer the characters we create and play in Beta to the actual live version of the game. A part of me, too, doesn’t want to put all kinds of time into playing an alt that will just become irrelevant in a few weeks.
Other than that though- loving it so much. I was worried, initially. I thought they’d mess too much with the vibe and it wouldn’t feel like Classic anymore, but they actually did a great job. I especially love the new atmospheric effects- like the mist, water, and lighting changes. It’s like what classic felt like back in the day, but with a more modern touch.
Tried playing Skyborne though and wasn’t really a fan. And it’s funny because I created a human alt, and Northshire was packed with people. Created a Skyborne alt, and the starting zone was dead. And this was the middle of the day. I would have expected to see more people at least trying out the new race… but it seems a lot of people are uninterested, from what I’ve been seeing/hearing.
