There is little point in doing the dungeons with a 50% quest experience nerf

Hello everyone,

With the recent nerfs to the dungeon quests experience, there will be little point in doing the dungeons. Was the point not to have people explore and go do the new dungeons? These nerfs are simply way too much, and hardly anyone is going to want to do them unless they are actually worth while.

I dont think its that big of a deal. The way I understand it is its 50% nerf of the bonus they gave. So if the regular classic dungeon quest gave 2000 xp… then Forever gave 4000xp and now its settled on 3000xp. Still worth doing

you said you increased them so players would benefit from the massive mob exp drop, and encourage running once. now im not interested in dungeons at all. they literally took fun out of dungeons. whats wrong with them. some of them need to step down.

… Just going to say, they’re going to see dungeons suddenly not have certain classes, even do them to start with more than maybe once. Some dungeons just … flat-out suck for some classes, and lord help you if your dungeon doesn’t have both healer & tank usable gear/incentives.

I think they got a brick smashed against their skull, and mistook cap level(20)s doing dungeons on repeat as normal, over correcting and now basically made it more reasonable to just bash skulls of open world humanoids or beasts as you work on your other skilss which wil lgive you more money and experience, along with being able to be routed with your quests & not need to set up groups for most of it.

Even with the 50% reduction to the bonus exp it’s still going to be insane exp.

I know right

Calm down. Take a laxative. Let it out. You are making far too much of it. These quests will still give you more XP than anything else. 50% ABOVE normal quest values. Flying into hysterics isn’t going to help you or anyone else. What we need to focus on now is getting Blizz to buff MOB XP IN DUNGEONS TO COMPENSATE.

If they buff the mob experience to help compensate, that would be a good compromise, but I doubt they will.

they could raise the mob exp by 100% and i think it would still be less xp overall and not feel as punishing. the mobs only give like 20 xp as is anyway

False.

Currently the best XP source in the game is to get a group of a couple people together and go force a hyperspawn out in the open world.

Example: a dungeon quest gives 4400 xp (pre-nerf) and can be done ONCE. For that, you ahve to form a group, get the quest (including in pre-reqs), get to the dungoen, get back, etc. Easily a 30m venture all in, or 147 (rounded up) xp per minute.

Farming boars gives 100 xp per kill. WIth a group you can easily kill more than 1.47 boars per minute…and again, that’s BEFORE the nerfs.

The best XP source is killing boars.

Okay .. so go kill boars. I’ll be doing the dungeons for the gear and quest rewards, but at least now that won’t screw over the journey!

ill still be doing them for the gear. the xp was always a bonus to me.

Or you know, they could give the people who feel like leveling is too fast an option to disable their XP gain as to not spoil the fun for everyone else.

They have made it clear they do not want you in dungeons and thus they should just remove them altogether.

No you won’t. You’re a DPS, and healers and tanks won’t bother with leveling dungeons when the gear is outclassed in 5 levels anyhow and they no longer get XP.

You’ll be spending 50 minutes sitting in group finder or city chat or trade chat whining that nobody wants to run (insert dungeon here).

yup my guys are tanks and healers. dungeons are just pointless now.

Hahahaha I def. didn’t do all the dungeon quests and wait to turn them in… so I could get xp post lvl 20 when the level increase when up. Bless my heart.

I’m dungeon questing for fun. What’s the rush anyway? I would like to do dungeons and quest in the open world.
