Over the first two weeks of the WoW Forever Beta, we’ve seen an increasing number of testers pushing to earn points in the Legacy system.
In a future week of the Beta, we’re planning to grant all testers 16 Legacy points so that the system can be tested without first requiring a great deal of leveling different classes, clearing dungeons, etc.
Once applied, we expect to keep that grant in place until the end of the Beta.
That’s a nice touch. I was just thinking how much of a pain it’s going to be trying to get the 10 points I want to try out talent trees to their full extent. Nice that that’s just solved.
Sick. This means I don’t need to worry about spamming profs on all the alts I made just to test it out. Will we be able to at least during the beta “respec” them to try out other sets?
I think this is great, but I wish this would have been stated earlier. It feels really bad spending all my hours and very hard earned gold preparing legacy to have that advantage just to now be behind in gold for the upcoming 30 cap. Considering the game is supposed to be about preparation. At the end of the day its just beta and none of this matters and i’m hyped that everybody gets to have the legacy points just feels bad so i’m venting
Great idea, looking forward to testing them. I do highly recommend reconsidering stealth detection in the legacy tree. It is a direct nerf to rogues and Druids. I don’t think legacy talents should act as nerfs for any class.
The only actual testing that anybody needs with legacy points is having them vs not having them, to identify what about them is bad for new players, or players that don’t care for professions, or players that don’t care for alts.
When you make a character nothing about that character should be determined by the game before you hit login. It’s so against the concept of an RPG, let alone an MMORPG, I can’t understand for a moment who at Blizzard suggested such a silly idea.
Would have been nice to know this before i dumped time and gold into farming points. But for the people that didnt have the time to farm the points i suppose its a gg.
gold buyers wouldnt care. if anyone would be upset its the legit people who farmed leather, ore, greens, and cloth to lvl profs they dont care about to 150 or even 225 for the points.
Tomorrow morning PDT, we will take the WoW Forever Beta offline for maintenance. Several hours later, the Beta will resume with an updated build that includes changes and fixes, with the level cap raised to 30.
