There are very few dwarf shamans, yet there is a ton of undead paladins. The main reason for this is because they are on dwarf witch is a very unpopular race to start with. I know many people would love to play a shaman on the alliance side but they all say they don’t want to make one because it dwarf only. I understand lore wise why the dwarf is a shaman. I just feel like they could have at least made the new race be shaman for alliance as well. I would even be ok with tauren paladins if alliance could get a shaman on a more popular race. Dwarf has always been the least played race in classic

I foresee in the future some lore basically having the dwarf shamans share knowledge with Night Elves so they can be shamans, and undead paladins sharing knowledge with taurens so they can be paladins. But there’s no rush. I think we can spend a lot of time enjoying more meaningful updates before we get more race/class shuffling.

You think Draenei Shaman was popular when TBC launched (before people discovered Chain Heal)?
Shaman is inherently a Horde coded class, its not really hard to see why most people interested in it are more interested in playing Orcs/Trolls/Taurens.
That said i hope when/if playable Worgen are being added they give them Shaman. That would probably give a decent boost to the Alliance Shaman population.

I predominantly play Alliance. The short races don’t hold much aesthetic appeal to me. I’m glad they exist in the game mind you, but they just aren’t my cup of tea to play because if I don’t like how my character looks I don’t enjoy playing them. If Blizzard ever allows Humans, Night Elves, or High Order Skyborne to be Shaman, then I’ll have a Shaman. But with Dwarf as the only option (or even if they opened to Gnome), it’s a hard pass.

I hope you are right. I have plenty to do in the meantime, but it would be nice if, down the road, the option to play Shaman on Alliance, on a race I actually like, becomes an option. On the flip side, I’m sure at least a few Horde players would like to see Tauren Paladins become available as well.

No, they shouldn’t be. They bring class specific buffs that literally make other classes viable, who wouldn’t be without them. You don’t think much, do you? Just say whatever brain dead opinion comes to mind.

This is issue i have with "more class/race combos will be added later 
"is that many of us are playing with a group of people and trying to fight the roster boss to build a proper raid group for when the raids launch
the approach of “leveling should be slower” means that if shaman become available to nelfs/human in 2 months time anyone rerolling will be effectively punished or reset back to 1 as they try to catch back up and all the time and gold spent on their former main is to a point wasted unless your the type of person to play multiple characters in a raiding enviroment

Give me the dwarf customisations available on retail (tattoos, better haircuts, earrings) And ill be a much happier Dwarf Shaman

That sounds like opportunity for people who only care about raiding and nothing else (and is willing to stock up on Noggenfogger and Deviate fish if they hate Dwarf that much).

Oh for sure, we’re going to see a lot of pirates and skeletons in raids in forever.
Fear Ward already made that a thing in Classic.
Not only dwarves are ugly and unpopular, they also have the worst racials in the game.

Them giving fear ward to every priest means dwarf priest will be even more rare, that was the main reason to make one.
And Humans in fantasy games are boring.

Could be humans (we have them IRL), nelves (they already are attuned with nature, so why not the elements?), even the skelfs (they are already shamans in the horde side, lorewise the same dwarves could have teach them to control the elements)

I like the dwarven race, fantastic racials for both shamans & paladins and sense of humor.. Stoneform and 2H Mace.. Works for me..

I’m not bashing anyone who like dwarf or likes to play one, but if your honest you know a lot of people don’t care to play as one. Having a more popular race option would be nice for many people. also the 2hand mace racial was removed
