this video does an excellent job breaking down how completely OP and journey-breaking and open world skipping the current leveiling meta of dungeon chaining for quests is.
many that claim to love the journey are calling this change a success, i am calling you out. you are full of it, forever leveling is blatanly accerleated and easier and you like it for that reason.
any real classic wow gamer can see that leveling is so much faster. This completely cheapens the game and shortcuts the journey, noobs are celebrating and real journey gamers are lamenting
Journey gamers should NOT want to be getting completely skyrocketed just by playing dungeon content. this design is horrible and totally in the spirit of retail.
Isnt it a small percentage of people that would level this way however? From what I have read Level 1–20 Pace: Blizzard shared data showing that getting from level 1 to 20 takes an average of 20.5 hours in WoW Forever, compared to 20.4 hours in Classic Era.
Experience Curve: The core experience curve and overall time to reach level 60 (roughly 150 to 180 hours of play time) remain very similar to traditional Classic.
So for the majority the leveling experience is very similar to how it used to be, its maybe the what, minority percentage, that will min max their leveling this way?
Also this is WoW Forever, not Classic right. If its faster, then that is just how they wanted to design this new iteration of WoW.
Accelerated leveling comes from the fact everything in the game is already know. 99% of the quests are known, most heavy levelers have a script they follow to be most efficient in leveling… It has NOTHING to do with any of the changes blizzard has made!
They did though, this has been marketed from day one as a game you can quest through an iconic world reimagined with new and expanded zones, new gameplay enhancements, and upgraded graphics.
So this leveling experience would be considered a new gameplay enhancement no?
They did not tell you its the same, they openly said it is slightly faster. That was the point. Its slightly faster than classic but extremely slower than retail.
