I ran there last night and it takes like two hours as a horde character in a constant pattern of resurrecting at max range of your corpse and being insta-killed.
Which is fine I wouldn’t expect allies to run to org for rfc.
Except horde have quests in hot making it seem like horde are expected to go there? Or is the slog of a run meant to be an incentive for warlock summon services?
Where does Horde have quests for Hall of Thanes? I haven’t found any.
And to be fair about it, it’s not super easy for Alliance to get into the Ruins of Lordaeron either.
I haven’t even looked to see where the Hall of Thanes is at, but I’d assumed it was inside or near Ironforge.
There is one right outside the dungeon and at least one more inside the dungeon…maybe more but I could only solo so far
It actually is, if not for the 100+ horde players standing outside the instance ganking anyone on sight. There are no guards or NPCs or anything. The majority of the difficulty is just walking all the way there from Southshore.
It kind of is, comparatively.
HoT requires you to enter magni’s throne room rol is barely in undercity
The closest fp for horde is in badlands which is a high lvl zone and a death run to get the fp the next closest is arathi.
For alliance running silver pine is closer to being the correct level for rol than horde running through wetlands.
But rol isnt a good comparison rfc is more equivalent in terms of lvl and accessibility
Would definitely be nice if there was like… a dark iron mole machine that the Horde could use to get in - a remnant of the DI forces already present inside.
And some kind of taxi gryphon air drop to get alliance into RoL like a strike team. (Though as noted it is much easier to get into RoL for Alliance than HoT for Horde)
I remember the devs at Blizzcon mentioning there would be “hidden entrances” for the opposite faction to get into these dungeons. What happened to those?
Possibly not in the beta. Possibly forgotten or not yet implemented.

You dirty horde already have a portal directly to the Gnomer instance, you can run yourself to HoT. You don’t need more backdoors, shortcuts, and portals.
No, I won’t, it’s not worth the time, but I’m not really bothered by it.
Just struck me as strange that we have quests there, but is an absolute slog to get to.
