Just from questing alone. Yea, I am picking up every quest I see, and killing loads of besties, but it seems to be far faster than what I remember from even in Cata.
It’s not.
.
Level 10 before even getting close to leaving Dun Morogh.
Correct . . .
Again, using recollection is not the same as data, people have done the data testing, i myself even tested a couple 1-20 side by sides, it is right around the same /played so far all the way through 20
Is it faster, or are you just better at WoW?
I had the same feeling and realized that after 20 years with this game, I knew where everything was (so no getting lost), I mostly knew what I was doing, and I wasn’t making the same mistakes I did back in Vanilla.
True, but I mean in terms of pure XP gain.
It feels like I should be level 6-8, not already in the double digits.
Agreed that it is too fast; even if it is the same as it has always been.
It definitely is. They were being morons on that podcast, comparing time to 20 In a brand new beta all kinds of stuff ti check out to a 20 year gsme wirh an established optimal path what a complete joke
For incredibly obvious reasons if the time js identical thst is showing accelerated leveling in forever
Lmao beta testers are farting around not bee lining to 20 like a classic era player would
Thats how it was in classic. You leave at level 12-14 if you did everything.
I don’t really care if 1-15 is kind of fast. Not at all.
I would greatly prefer an abundance of options than having to grind just to advanced to a new zone.
It seems faster because there are more quests.
That 1000+ New Quests feature card wasn’t just for show.
I believe you’ll find it slows down the closer you are to 60.
1-20 Is substantially faster and it’s a detriment to the game and the journey imo
The beginning matters very very much to the players ability to sense to journey. You have to struggle to twenty to feel like twenty matters, ti feel your characters newfound competence vs the challenges in the world
All classic players know lvl 20 Is a huge milestone because it wasn’t a cake walk
I also want options but I can hit twenty starting in durotar wirh only 1 hour spent in thr barrens. Thst is not good
The new quests were yoir option to not have to grind. All they did was take dungeons away as an option, and now 1 run in each dungeon totally self boosts your character lol

this is true
All classic players know lvl 20 Is a huge milestone because it wasn’t a cake walk
this is not. 20 was still a cake walk. in classic
They’ve tested it, and the average 1-20 was actually 1 minute slower in the Forever beta than in classic.
You feel like you’re leveling faster because you’re having fun. Not because you actually are leveling faster.
That might actually be the answer. I always found questing boring, but I am actually having fun this go around.
