I don’t understand why they keep pushing this to retail players. Like, yeah, some of this seems really cool. Some of it seems really terrible. There are parts I wish they would implement in retail, and parts I’m hoping never come over. Everything out of Blizzard, even on YouTube, is so pushing WoW forever that I half wonder if they want to move everyone over so they can shut retail down.

Imho, they kept Retail in a bit of a lull on purpose to get those players to at least try out Forever.
It’s crappy, but this is a company that has people pay for early access lol. (WF beta is basically this, just paying to play new stuff early even if it’s wiped.)
This is the new norm.
They’re just juggling players between versions.
There will probably be a lull in Warcraft Forever, and then more Retail content comes out.
There is no lull lmao. Retail has the extra bonus rolls research finished in 11 days, there’s a new raid coming in the .5 patch, the S3 M+ dungeon lineup has already been announced. It’s literally business as usual.

Hmm, the snake patch died for me pretty quick, just wasn’t all that interested. And I usually love Troll themed stuff.
Wasn’t a fan of a vault full of elites designed to slow you down every step of the way, lol.
Didn’t like Curse Surges either.
Got exalted with Tokka, got the new rod, did the finale of the raid on story mode and a bit of LFR, and haven’t touched Retail since. It’s been a few weeks.
All I do outside of that is PvP, for the cosmetic elite sets and the vicious seasonal mount.
Intentionally ignoring 80% of the game doesn’t mean there’s a lull.
I just can play 100% of WF and not feel like I’m missing out.
Not into M+ nor raiding, so what does Retail have left for someone like me?
PvP just is in a better state in other versions.
And I’ll actually engage in PvE in older WoW versions. It’s inherently more chill.
Because I apparently have to say it again, you refusing to engage with the content they’re releasing doesn’t mean there’s a lull.
Is there anything other than this snake patch? Because if not, then I’ve done all the stuff at least once.
Not counting M+ because that’s just running the same old dungeons again with inflated difficulty, which again I don’t do.
More excited to see what TLT has to offer for Retail than continuing Midnight.
