Join Senior Game Designer Josh “Aggrend” Greenfield, Lead Classic Designer Tim Jones, and content creators Countdown To Classic and Xaryu in the first episode of the World of Warcraft: Forever Podcast.
Genuinely excited for these! Hopefully these continue past launch as well.
Looking forward to it.
Hopefully they finally acknowledge the demand for an RP-PvP option!
Just in time for my lunch break! Looking forward to it
Just please don’t take the words of streamers above everyone else. The very person you have on has mentioned that he talks to you behind the scenes.
hated this. its a good podcast but its just marketing/corporate slop with a streamer
wish it was actual hard questions
Of course, they do a podcast and feature a streamer.
Just marketing slop. Xaryu is a paid advertiser for blizzard. There’s dozens of theorycrafters on multiple class discords who would ask better questions.
money donated to a streamer is blood money
People only have so many blues, and the reason people are running these instances so much right now is because they’re already at max level (20) and there isn’t much else to do. That makes it easy to find groups of people repeatedly running the same content.
Once the game goes live, though, the dynamic will change. Tanks Stacking casters in their groups, while healers stacking melee in theirs. Once they’ve completed their instance and finished their quests, they won’t really have a reason to keep re-running that instance. They’ll be moving on to the next zone and questing, especially since instance mobs barely provide any experience (10xp a kill).
A filled world is okay and healthy, a congested world is not healthy.
Is this the “Here’s a giant cope rant about why Skelves aren’t horrible, actually” podcast?
RP-PvP is almost as urgent as the memory leak problem! RP-PvP rulset at launch please!
did they mention priest and paladin skyborns

Wasn’t bad, but please approach members of the community to talk to devs and not just streamers. They aren’t the arbiters of player sentiment.
Josh requested Skyborne priests and Josh (lol) said “whoops! I wrote their lore against that! But never say never. We welcome your feedback”
Overall, for a podcast half dedicated to Skyborne, they seemed to speak out of both sides of the mouth re: “this is what we intended” vs. “but lots of people despise that.”
My read is that they didn’t anticipate Skyborne going over so poorly, and they’re trying to figure out how to respond
You know what, dev communication for Classic players has been truly atrocious for a very long time, so I’m just going to thank you for doing a regular podcast for Forever, and for showing us you can and will do things differently here.
I have some criticisms about the topics you chose for this first one, but that’s less important to me than giving positive feedback about the podcast existing.
I’m disappointed.
So we got blue Blood Elves because ya’ll didn’t have the resources.
We didn’t get a race for each faction because ya’ll didn’t have the resources.
Maybe next time just take the time to do it correctly instead of kamikazeing right into the ground at full throttle.
Never touched on RPPVP, giving Horde paladins and it being an obviously lazy and another “resource” decision.
KAmIkazE!!! slams throttle forward
They didn’t have the resources to add new races, but they had enough resources to reskin the Blood Elf Model, reskin a bunch of Night Elf art assets, create multiple mount models, shaman totems, druid forms and create an entirely new 1-10 zone, record new NPC lines, PC voices, and spend time writing a hamfisted way to wedge these abominations into the story.
Stitching Quel’thalas into the overworld and just adding Helves & Belves would’ve been too much work though!
Kind of odd isnt it?
