Nice one. As a Mac user we certainly appreciate you guys spending the time to help bring us up to par. I’m still getting some weird shadow artefacts, but the green tint has certainly gone.
If you’re having trouble logging on, specifically servers not being detected:
Check to see if the update has downloaded. Its at the top of the bnet launcher next to the “What’s New” icon (sparkilies).
If its saying you can’t download because its running, check task manager and details, and search for wow in the search bar, find the .exe file thats hanging and end task.
Download the update and you should be able to log in. That’s what worked for me.
Thanks. A reboot allow me to re-download - but I have done this as well. Fortunately I have a 3 GB connection - so the 67 GB download should take less than 5 min.
Early in the morning and for the past few days the game was very playable (performance wise) for me other than having ot relog every couple hours or after visting Stormwind. 60 fps solid on my big screen tv with most of the settings near maxed out. Since this afterrnoon and after this lastest patch performance is abysmal and the game is unplayble here. Starts out at 60 fps then almost immediatly juttters and sputters to 30’s with intense jerkiness. Unlplayable mess now.
I tried a Nvidia cache cleanse via their recommended means listed on their web site, rebooted, etc, etc. no help. Did a scan and repair via bliz launcher too. No dice.
Secondary Lighting doesn’t instant crash the computer now, and you can turn shadow graphics up now, but you broke something else.
I have a brand new M5 Max Studio that I got today with 96 gigs of ram and the upgraded 40c gpu. I can’t go above 60 fps, anywhere. The second I start moving, FPS tanks and tanks fast. Any combat and the FPS drops to 10 fps.
